Post Worlds 2004 Superstars list

A while back Riefer started a thread called `superstars,` where he asked people to make their top 10 list of the best freestylers currently out there. His criteria included originality, consistency, difficulty, and style. At the time, people qualified their lists saying their perception of `the best 10` could change after worlds. After all, there was a lot of hype surrounding a lot of players before Montreal.

So now that Worlds 2004 is over, I was wondering if any of your lists have changed. I didn`t make a list before, but I think I will make one now. But first, a couple observations:

1. Sunil didn`t play much at worlds, and there hasn`t been any recent footage of him, so its hard to know where he`s at.
2. Ricky Moran was injured at worlds, and didn`t play at all. Ditto for Ahren.
3. Felix was injured at worlds and still busted, but its hard to know how well he plays at full strength.
4. Lon didnt show at worlds, neither did Ryan, Yves, or Allan H. Again, hard to know where their games is at.

Oh, and please play ball and keep your list to only 10 people. Also, please limit your selections to what people do in the circle. For example, if you want to put Carol Wedermeyer on your list because she has one of the best styles out there, go for it. But don`t put her on the list because she`s a trailblazer and role model for shreditas. Same with Eli; feel free to put him on the list because of his style (his combos are always unique and interesting) and difficulty, but don`t put him on the list because of his work promoting footbag through Flipsider.

OK, all that said, here`s my initial list. Other than Vasek, the list is in rough order.

1. Vasek Klouda

2. Lon Smith
3. Felix Zenger
4. Sunil Jani
5. Jim Penske
6. Jorden Moir
7. Scott Bevier
8. Ales Zelinka
9. Chad Devlahovich
10. Ricky Moran

Geez that`s tough. I can`t believe how many names of players whose style and game I love are left out. I think its also interesting to note how many of the guys on my list are extremely flipsided. I don`t even think that reflects a bias on my part, because I`m not militantly pro-flipsidedness or anything.

Anyway, curious to see your lists, especially if your opinions changed after Worlds 2004 (or Euros for that matter).

To be honest, I'm very surprised I'm on so many people's lists. I may have some big & unique single tricks, but a decent run for me is something like 15 contacts. Not that great. There's still much skooling to be done.

Maybe because he wasn't at Worlds busting hard in the circles and people don't know if his stuff is comparable to that of all these other people?
