Extreme laver modding

Post by CommanderMullet »

So far on my old pair of lavers, I have modded the mesh sides, toebox, and have cut out the leather part on the inside of my ankle. Are there any other crazy modifications (not lacing modifications, just mods on the shoe)?

Old lavers can be great later in their life, because you're kind of free to just butcher them. It would be good for people to have a bunch of options that would increase the shoes' performance, or make them lighter. I've heard about people cutting the heavy part out of the sole, but has anyone ever thought about just cutting a 1/2 inch off the entire bottom of the sole? It may narrow the stalling area a little bit, but I think it would just make the shoes ridiculously lighter and easier to move in. If someone has ever tried this, let me know how it went, and plz post any alternate mods you've done to your shoes, too.
Take a bite!!!

you could cut off the who toe box like genz does. you could drill into your sole as well. some people cut off the side walls too. you could even try cutting off the whole inside and replacing it with facile. if your into that kind of thing.

good luck lol.

I was thinking of cutting the whole toe box off of my old lavers, manly because I play much better on toe tricks barefoot, and I thought that cutting the toe box off, might raise my shoe play up to my barefoot play. Are there any horrible side effects to this?
