Re: sciatica
Sorry I don't know anything about the ailment, I just thought I'd say what a shame it would be if this turns out to be true.bustinjustin wrote: I don't know if i'll play again.
All the best Justin.

Justin,
Do you know or can you find a good acupuncturist in Seattle? I have treated many people with sciatica, and had great results. The siatic nerve runs directly thru the piriformis muscle, which is in your ass, which you constanlty use shredding. You may need to take some time off but I doubt if it will keep you from playing forever. PM me and we can talk more. If need be, I'll bring needles to the Seattle Juggling and Footbag fest.

Peter,
What sorts of injuries are you able to treat with acupuncture? I'm curious, because I may have patellar tendinitis (it's my best guess, anways) due to working on barraging sets with my left leg.
If it helps, I can relay the symptomes I'm suffering. Basically, like I mentioned above, it was caused after going through a rigorous session of barraging sets. I can not lower myself (in a squatting position) or put too much weight on that leg while climbing/descending on stairs.
I understand that it may be hard to diagnose someone online, but if you think acupuncture would help my situation I will seriously consider acupuncture as a possible treatment.
I don't want this to become a serious problem

Update
Well it seems things are going from bad to worse over here for RCS.
My shizzle MRI revealed i have 3 slipped discs, the middle which is fractured and in my nerve path. Im seeing a surgeon for review today, yea.
Ricky found out that his injury isnt what he thought (the lateral miniscus) which is procedurally correctable to something that isn't and now he just has to wait and heal as do I.
We talked it over and agreed neither of us will probably be able to play at all for around a year (judging from doctors and the injuries themselves).
We also agreed that sucked and were going to miss going to tournies this year and kickin it with all our good friends we've made over the past 2 years.
But if all goes well 2005/06 will be our come back year.
And we'll get to see all of you at SJFF cause its live and kicking. I mean what else do i gotta do but throw a phat kick ass festival/tourny. You all have to come shred cause i can't.
peace

Again to both Ricky and you, I hope things will start turning out better once the recovery stages are kicking in. Just cause you won't be bustin big, keep us updated on how you guys are doin, so much potential over there, I'm always curious to things like that.
Maybe Ricky and you can learn to stich within the 2 years ? That'll keep you busy when you can't do anything. Also, I wanna go party or bar hoppin with ricky again, hit the dance floor when possible. Well, again, I hope the best for you 2.
