nucleus?

Post by alex »

Any word on the bag Richard Abshire named the "nucleus"? If you forgot, this bag was gonna be 100 bux a pop, but made of super material and wouldn't require any break-in. The bag is supposed to come out in 2005, and that is only a few months away so I figured maybe there would be some more information on it.

I saw a new bag a few weeks ago designed specifically for indoor play that had a zero break in time, but it wasn't anything like the nucleus prototypes I saw a while ago.

no, i just saw it when I was at his house.

It's visually much like every other 32 panel bag.

If anybody were to accidentily smash, step on, or put any harm onto my $100 nucleus bag (never knew it had a name), I would have to put some harm onto their face with the sole of my lavers. I mean really, what if someone were trying a new symposium move and just smashed the bajesus out of your nucleus bag...*silence* You better take off those tennis shoes and put on your running shoes.

I'm really curious to what could make a bag jump to that price, skipping the $50 mark, the $75 mark, and make it straight to 100. Anything else come with it ? Some sort of warranty, etc. ?

I think richard said that the bag comes with a 1 year warranty, and also he will make repairs to the bag if you send it him. The bag is supposed to be super durable tho. Cameron, those Nucleus prototypes that you tried.... were they any good? or are you silenced to secrecy? :)

Testing is still going on and should be ready in the spring. I have had to make more bags for orders than bags for testing. Don't worry, this bag is coming out. Hope this helps,Richie

Why the huge price? $100 should be a lifetime warranty. Or two bags with a 1 year warranty.

*confused*

I would rather pay $30 and break it in myself.

It's not a 32 panel bag, and the effort required to make one much higher.

I certainly won't. I'd rather break in a Mini Abshire by hand. I actually enjoy breaking in a bag and always make sure I have at least 2 shreddable ones. Kind of makes the bag that much more special when it's all broken in... but that's just me.

Peace.

I'll deffinatly be interested in one. I'm not really good enough yet to justify buying a 100$ footbag though. Maybe in the future though.

I'm thinking it's going to be more then just a footbag with no break in time because according to tsiangkun (sorry if I interpreted wrongly).

I don't really know what I'm talking about though so oh well...

100$ is pretty crazy

This is weird. I Once e-mailed Richie and he said that the price is due to one: The material used and the durability. But I BELIEVE that I asked him if it was 32 and he said yeah....

here it is: AFter some back and forth e-mailing. Thanks for responding Richie!

Hmmmmmmmmm... everyone's been talking about the nucleus but what about the stealth? Maybe he's being shady about that. I would too. Expecially if it was a certain specialized bag. Awesome...
