Rex Grossman!
Damn. You've got me there.
Maybe Chicago could kidnap Carson Palmer? I think
some of Grossman's problems would go away with a better offensive line/more experience. Who knows, maybe in two-three years he'll be a top-tier QB? Too bad the rest of the team will probably be far worse in two-three years...
I haven't seen, or just don't remember, how well Jennings played this season.
I don't think Favre is top seven or eight. I'd say Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Carson Palmer, Drew Brees, Donovan McNabb, Matt Hasselbeck, Jon Kitna, and Vince Young have all done better jobs as QB the last season, in the sense of being an asset to their team. Probably some others as well, like Steve McNair, Brad Johnson, Jeff Garcia, & Philip Rivers as far as doing what their coaches needed them to do to win the game. I'm not saying Favre is less talented than any of these guys, but I think on a practical level they've all played better in this past season.
And really, Favre isn't getting any younger. He's in the twilight of his career, so I pretty much assume that he'll be a little worse every season, until he has a season where he's got nothing left.
I guess we shall see...
