Okay, just to summarize for people joining this exciting thread late,

In one camp we have people that don't wash their bags

In the other group we find people who generally use a procedue very similar to this one.

Get Bag Wet
Apply detergent
Lather
Rinse
Towel Dry.

Okay. First I add soap and gently massage it all over the bag. Then I rinse, gently squeezing the bag to make sure all the dirt comes out. When the water runs clear, then I fill up the basin with water, and massage Snuggle liquid fabric softener on it. Then I have a quiet moment with just me and my bag, and condition it's panels while I sing 'Kumbaya'. I the put it in the water to sit for a few minutes while I contemplate, life, footbag, and the universe. I mean, what does it all mean anyway? After my brief relaxation, I squeeze the rest of the water out and set it on the bathroom window sill to dry. 8)
