Yep, Lavers are the way to go man. At least for now. That's the standard for footbag, and pretty much everyone on here will tell you they are excellent footbag shoes. ShredOnLawn sells them for 30 bucks.

As for bags, yeah go to either www.worldfootbag.com the $10 or less section and check out the Mr. Sandbag for $7 bucks. That's an excellent beginner bag. Also www.efootbag.com has a decent 4 panel synth suede for about the same price, but it doesn't last as long. When I started, I didn't think that getting the proper equipment mattered much, but it really is crucial to good performance.

It's good to be a "mature" freestyler. You can afford cool bags and don't need permission to cut the hell out of a brand-new pair of shoes!

I started (last August) with a couple of Mr. Sandbags, but I find a 32-panel bag SO much more satisfying to kick. For me, as a long-time hacker, it's important to use a bag that stalls well, but still has some bounce.

Eh, i ended up getting a yellow and black footfighter. Hope i like it. I'll probably end up getting a Mr Sandbag either way, try to figure out what i like best.

Yeah, the shoes are actually kinda more important than the bag IMO.

Footfighters are great bags from all I have heard. It's a pellet bag so it will play a little differently than a sandbag. Most pros use hand stiched 32 panel pellet bags, comparable to the Footfighter. Just read up on how to take proper care. Hand stiched 32's are delicate, and can be destroyed by improper handling.

The Mr. Sandbags are reccommended so often because of their price and durability, great for beginners. I think most people would place the Footfighter as a better bag than the Mr. Sandbag, it's just that a Footfighter costs more.

Also, there will be a break in time for your bag. I think Footfighters are pretty renowned for their fast break in though. To the point, if you think your bag sucks at first, just play with some more until it breaks in.

Eric, while those look flat, they also look heavy, slippery, and restrictive to the ankle. Get lavers

all i have to say for shoes but as for bags all ive used to this point is a sandmaster sadly

im hoping to try some new ones out my self
