------------STEP 2 and Step 3-------------------------------------------------

I gathered all the ideas of modified, open discussion, and moderaters section on footbag.org

The steps are:

1.) Brainstorming----finished!
2.) Sort the thoughts--- in progress
3.) Discuss all the topics/ arguments----in progress
4.) Write them down ---- later
5.) Bring them to Steve and Allan----later

1- embed modified into f.org
2- how bout a some personality? like a pretty top graphic and some different forum colors. Make it more homey.
3- I think it needs less newbies, or rather more experienced players to compensate for the floods of newbs
4- Honestly, transport all the things on modified to .org. I feel this is the only thing that will attract people on modified.
5- just post a lil over there telling them all join Modified,
6- 1 re-enable personal messages
7- create a .org footbag chat like modified has

8- Steve set up http://modified.footbag.org/ to point to modified.in, but nobody on the Modified end ever set it up to work properly.
Sad It would be good if we kept Modified its own separate community for now,but had it live on a permanent URL at footbag.org to help us get to the next step at some point down the road.
9-"Hackey-Sack" is typed it looks like this... "******-****" or make it automatically change to footbag

10- chatting ability
11- The combination of modified and the footbag.org forums

12- allow editing posts and pming
13- "advanced freestyle", "tips advice help" and "open discussion" forums merged into one forum
14- "informal announcements" with topics merged into the relevent freestyle, net or tournament topic
15- "sewing" forum expanded into an "equipment" forum
16- either abolishing or moving the Euro forum - maybe to the national associations forum.

17- edit button until the first reply after yours is posted
18- replace those mods who are not even active here.
19- better navigation for the German board. There is no opportunity to go back to the german index.
20- more of a community aspect. Do not know why but maybe we can collaborate more with modified/ change our sections to theirs and bring the mods over here too.
21- Moderators must be able to decide democratic- that means that all mods must browse this section and must comment on ideas like this.
22- try to get ideas out of the board people should get the impression that if they offer ideas that they will be heard by the IFPA.
23- volunteer thread but there are no tasks
24- informal announcements should make the work of the IFPA more visible and so maybe more people would join

Building categories:

Proposal:

A) Cooperation with modified and other media
B) Changes in the board functions
C) Changes on the board structure
D) Ideas which should not be taken into consideration

Feel free to add your own categories and sort and/or discuss the ideas.

Thanks in advance!

Just want to inform you that the deadline for step 2 and 3 will be the first of June.

Maybe you could spend a few minutes to sort the thoughts to get the letter finished.

Ok it is a little bit late but I really hoped to get some more input of you.

I know that this sorting stuff is often the job of the coordinator.
Anyway I am persistent to keep this project going.

Ok here is my proposal to sort the thoughts of the community:
As you may noticed, I am no native speaker so it would be cool if someone could phrase the letter.

I will wait around 10 days to check if someone got anything to say about my sorting.
After those ten days I hope someone will write the letter or I will do myself.

Thanks in advance.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here is my proposal:

A) Changes on the footbag online community:

1- embed modified into f.org
3- I think it needs less newbies, or rather more experienced players to compensate for the floods of newbs
4- Honestly, transport all the things on modified to .org. I feel this is the only thing that will attract people on modified.
11- The combination of modified and the footbag.org forums
20- more of a community aspect. Do not know why but maybe we can collaborate more with modified/ change our sections to theirs and bring the mods over here too.

B) Changes on the footbag.org forum

a) Features on the forum:
2- how bout a some personality? like a pretty top graphic and some different forum colors. Make it more homey.
6- 1 re-enable personal messages
7- create a .org footbag chat like modified has
10- chatting ability
12- allow editing posts and pming
17- edit button until the first reply after yours is posted
19- better navigation for the German board. There is no opportunity to go back to the german index.

b) Sections on the forum
13- "advanced freestyle", "tips advice help" and "open discussion" forums merged into one forum
14- "informal announcements" with topics merged into the relevent freestyle, net or tournament topic
15- "sewing" forum expanded into an "equipment" forum
16- either abolishing or moving the Euro forum - maybe to the national associations forum.

c) Moderators issues
18- replace those mods who are not even active here.

C) Input which should not be considered ( IMO)
5- just post a lil over there telling them all join Modified,
9-"Hackey-Sack" is typed it looks like this... "******-****" or make it automatically change to footbag

Steve set up http://modified.footbag.org/ to point to modified.in, but nobody on the Modified end ever set it up to work properly.
-> flipsider.com/modified :D

I didn't need anyone at modified to do anything, and it took me about 10 seconds. Maybe Steve is doing something more involving though, like bridging the registration (but I think that's impossible bc of conflicting usernames).

The above link is not meant to be permanent. It would actually work great if modified didn't have those cycling images in the top-left, or if I remade the Flipsider template to be autostretch, which I should do anyway. But whateva.

p.s. how about some people get involved with flipsider? just a suggestion, or maybe a plea depending how you look at it. ;)

hmm, good question.

I was just showing you how easy it could be for Steve to "wrap" modified in his template, like I did. But maybe he has other plans; I don't really care one way or the other. Good luck with the changes.

I have exams right before Worlds so I have to postphone the phrasing of the letter.

If you like to have a satisfying solution, then I am not the right guy to do this anyway.
I am no native speaker and so it would be much better if you ( exactly ----> you<--------) take this task.
