Afraid not. I had to get them off ebay and some other sites that aren't used a lot in the US. They aren't sold anywhere in the US that I know of, and they are most definately not played on any radio stations here. Hilltop Hoods does kick ass though. There's like, only 2 songs that I don't like from them, simply because I didn't like the beats. Their lyrics are always good though. Still hooked on City of Light, lol.King Monkey wrote:hahah great post David. The lyrics look sooo much stupider when you write them all out like that too haha
Another agreement from me that what they call 'hip hop' now is complete trash.
Are the Hilltop Hoods big in the USA? They fuckin rule
Normally, I just download music off LimeWire. But I had to have their CDs, simply because I like them so much, and I didn't want to rip them off of their album sales, they're just way too good.
I saw something else today that reminded me of how much I hate mainstream rap/hiphop. You always see these stupid symbols, that these fakes wear, and in these crazy symbols, they always put the same fuckin' word. Respect. Respect, what? The only person that wears something like that, that I've actually respected, is Missy. For several reasons. She's a good artist, at least with a good number of her songs, and she's got her own line of Adidas footwear.
And I'm not strictly hiphop. I love many many genres of music. For example. On a rainy day, with nothing to do, nothing beats Dave Mirra 2 on the GameCube (Actually played on the Wii.
Anyone ever seen those "Ask for more art" commercials? Where there's a girl that sits there and tells her mother, who's doing gardening, that plastic flowers last longer, she turns the radio from music to news, and then asks her dad to read a dictionary to her at night. Well I think they should make a commercial with the same message, but it should be a kid, changing the radio, from good music, like Killer Queen, to something like, Does Your Chain Hang Low... Arts, ask for more.
