Can you blame a slightly higher illiteracy rate in Japan? I mean, look at all the stuff you have to learn to communicate!

Just playing, but I would like to live in Japan, despite rediculous prices. There is a lot of culture there, they aren't aggressive with a military, have some bright people there, and have some of the best cars in the world, despite the fact it's difficult to get one and park it and such. Also, the cost of living is rather high there if I'm correct. But people are generally nicer, and there is a lot of intresting things there...

I really anjoyed Sydney (Australia) when I lived there. I'm still toying with the fact of doing a PhD over in Sydney and just buying a flat next to the beach somewhere... pickup surfing again...

Recently I've done a bunch of trips to London (ex. gf lives there) and it really is one of the best places to party in Europe (yes even compared to central/eastern Europe).. and they speak English!! But it's just so damn expensive and rainy...

Corsica / Sicile / Sardaigna easily win "most enjoyble weather" award so that has to come into play too no?

Switzerland? The people are nice, the country is beautiful, they've got some good ski resorts there, I speak half the language

Finland? I can do without TV taxes, Gingerbread for christmas, and those winters with 2 hours of daylight. Summer is nice there though, not humid at all!

Personally, and this may be biased, but I love living in Montreal. Summer is awesome, festivals everywhere, many things to do, the women here are like

.

The complains I have about it are winter and beggers. Winter isnt so bad though since I live downtown and right next to a metro station I dont really have to go outside much anymore (I used to live far, far away from downtown, which is where I worked).

The beggars really, REALLY piss me off though. There are so many its scary. The worst part is these people are NOT poor. They are just lazy. There are SO many rehabilitation programs and whatnot, noone actually really belongs out in the street. But what do you do abouut people like that? Waste our tax money by putting them in jail? Theres no real solution, so they just keep on bothering you while you walk down the street.

UK is neutral for EVERYTHING.
We have normal prices, we have normal weather (NEVER anything drastic)
We dont have big ass venomous spiders or snakes, we dont have any big crime problems or big problems with anything.
So i think that for us Brits moving to anywhere else that has something Drastic scares the shit out of us. Im happy

OOH, just remembered.....we dont have any hackers, that needs sorting.

son, you know NOTHING of cold winters... come to winnipeg for a week in mid-january and enjoy your 7 days staright of -50 celcius weather!
when i lived in montreal i was so happy with the winters. not cold at all, and then i moved back to winterpeg. yeah, the beggars are annoying though...

i really dig scotland. love the scenery, the people, the drink, and the accents. london's cool, but it killed my wallet. 1 pound = 2.24 canadian dollars. ouch. it's a fine place to live if you are earning pounds though. Paris is the bomb. i love the café culture and the language, very cool architecture and scenery. great wine! and max showed me how to drink a beer while on the metro with out spilling it.

I don't know what it is about WV kids and Montreal, but we love it there. I always hear it slip out from Bob or John that they want to move there someday and I would like to as well. I'm studying French in college so maybe I'm getting prepared?

I also really enjoy Stockholm. There's lots of clubs and good restaurants (though expensive!). It's also really clean and has the most beautiful girls I've ever seen...everywhere in the city.

I really want to study abroad in London for a year though I'm having trouble finding funds to do so. My entire heritage is British...and no language barrier.

i´d like to live in iceland. everything i´ve heard and seen of this island is amazing. a really really untouched nature, soooo different. and the music and the artists that are from there are great. ok, maybe its cold and uneasy with heavy winds or stuff like that, but i just dream of a superdifferent piece of world. and i like the language and the names of the ppl so much, like hanja gungnirsdottir or sveja firinsgunnar. sounds crazy. ahh and yes it´s very mystical. they have a minted mystical culture with a lot of fairy tales.
but living la vida loca in brazil would be also awesome. hm, i dunno...
