I realize that not responding publicly to a public attack makes it look like you just took it and didn't do anything about it, but I'm sure the rest of us would appreciate it if you'd keep this personal crap a little more personal.

all i have in my defense is that i didnt have a single post that didnt address the actual issue being discussed. i realize that hints that i only discussed the issue as a thinly veiled excuse to let this guy know what i think of him, but it really wasnt, it just worked out that way. just because he chose not to address almost anything i said that was constructive isnt my fault. either way, i feel like i made my points in both cases.

i was making a point. this is the exact situation where my idea would be most effective, where someone contributes nothing but flaming and it could simply be moved to a subforum where the only contributions would be flaming and people would get off my balls about not contributing enough to the discussion. shrug. like i give a shit.

attacking a member of the community that spends a good chunk of their time organizing this forum and spreading the word of footbag is pretty ridiculous. The less moderating that is done on this site, the more out of hand things can get. this can lead to members of the community no longer wanting to have a part in this forum and potential members from joining. Emily is doing a great thing for all of us and in no way deserves this rubbish.

I don't believe I ever made a cartoon about a mod.

And for the record I received a number of PM's thanking me for keeping it interesting.

This reflects badly on the Discussion forum, which should be focuced on Democratic Congressional Bliss, or global meltdown.

Maybe change the policy to forbid the discussing of punishments handed down by admins.

I have to say something in my defense. Emily's bringing you only one side of the story, and she just wants everyone to feel sorry for her for being attacked by the big bad Shredzilla.

Firstly, I was very cordial when I initiated the request to have bluntobj3ct's signature changed. She came back with her response that it wasn't against the new forum policy. Fine. But then, for some strange reason she blocked MY signature priveledges. WHY??

Hypocracy: In my opinion bluntobj3ct was the one spamming the board, so why should MY signature priveledges be blocked for making a simple request? (This was long before the comic, when both of us were being perfectly cordial to one another)

I made the comic to show the admins that their policy was flawed. That just because something doesn't offend THEM, doesn't mean that it should be allowed. And why are they saying the community has their say, and all that. Did the community make the rules? No.

What if the community felt that it was perfectly fine to make cartoons like mine? What then?

The second thing I wanted to mention, is if you'll notice, my 'level up' as she put it in Fletcher's thread was in response to a cartoon he made about me, portraying me as some egotistical gay guy or something. The thing is, I really don't care what people say about me, or rumors or any of that. If anyone thinks I'm gay, just ask the people at Spike n Shred lol.

But did she publicly chastise her boyfriend Fletcher publicly for HIS act? No. More hypocracy.

Emily's friend Nate Linscott's video has an image of marijuana in it. As far as I can tell, this violates the new policy. Ben Rosco's vid had an image of some guy with a gas mask on with smoke coming out, and his vid was flagged immediately and asked to be taken down.

Nate's vid is still up, with the marijuana image still in it. Hypocracy.

See, I'm not trying to attack Emily, I'm trying to prove that their guidelines which THEY made up, don't mesh with what they enforce. To be honest, I really don't care about Emily enough to want to offend her. I was a little heated about how she blocked my sig priveledges when I had done nothing to deserve it. Once again, she was being hypocritical. So, I've pointed out 3 instances where she has faltered as Admin of this forum.

I know I said I wouldn't post anymore, but I just can't sit back and let her tell only her side.

Oh, and I knew about the secret forums. I knew about the trash talking that was going on about me in them as well. Secret forums are yet another example of the Admin's hypocritical policy to keep Modified an 'equal community'.

I can't speak to the video thing, I never saw it and never saw any discussion of it amongst mods. The guidelines don't say all talk of drugs/ images of drugs are outlawed, its designed to say we can stop "how to" style explanations, and dealing. We still want people to be able to discuss their experiences of drug taking and talk about the effects. Bythe sound's of it the gas mask thing may have been interpreted as having potential "how to" type info, while the other video siply has an image in it, but as I said, I can't be sure as I have seen neither and this is the first I've heard about any of it.

As far as Shredzilla's signature priviledges being removed - this is not what happened at all, a number of users all had problems with changing their signatures at this time due to some unrelated technical changes - I'm sure one of the other mods who's down with technology could explain more specifically - Shredizilla just jumped to the conclusion that the evil mods must be persecuting him individualy, when this simply isn't true.

It's true the community did not initially draw up the rules but as I have had to say again and again - if you just go to the community "hey guys make up some rules" then nothing happens - but if you take a set of rules, then say read this and comment/make appropriate changes perhaps something productive will be achieved.

I didn't see Fletcher's cartoon, if it's still on the boards post a link and if it should be taken down it will be taken down. If he did decide to make a similar cartoon to your's about your sexuality I would agree that it is equally innapropriate as the one you posted and should have received the same treatment.

I happen to agree about the secret forums (although I think a secret forum for mods is necessary) but again, as i have said before, I think its more constructive to tackle one problem at a time.
