Well, today was eventful, to say the least...
I went to work and today was the day I put my 2 weeks notice in... AFTER 7 YEARS OF WORKING THERE. My boss is like a second mom to me. I have my own breakfast food named after me and on the menu. I've seen this place in the best of times and the worst of times. And I'm finally leaving... My boss was upset. I was upset. Such a hard thing to do. But to cheer spirits up at work today, my boss and I devised a prank where she would "yell" at me about something I messed up in my work schedule and I would argue about it until I "got super pissed". Then she said, "I don't need your crap anymore, so you can go home if you want!" I replied, "Screw this, I'm going to Penn State soon anyway!", threw the cup I was holding into the sink, grabbed my keys and "stormed" out of there, then hid behind a bush next to the cafe. I saw some of my co-workers come out and look for me, while I'm sitting behind a bush trying not to laugh. My co-worker/friend, Connor, ran across the street toward my car, so then I ran back inside and my boss and I started laughing. All the waitresses thought the fight was dead serious. Then Connor came back in and we acted like I never left, to screw with his head. Good day. At the end of the day, my boss pulled me aside and gave me some terrible news. I'll reveal it when it happens. It upset both of us.
After work, I kicked with Jackson, Nick P, and Drew today in front of Dick's Sporting Goods. The workers inside were amused by us and they gathered at the store window to watch us. Drew's drilling is paying off. His Drifters, Whirls, and Rakes are coming along so nicely. Lots of other stuff is getting more dialed for Drew, as well. Nick P was looking good with some BSOS Gyro Mirages and some longer runs and Jackson hit some stuff like Ducking Osis> Stepping set. Once he drills more basics, he's gonna pull that shit out all the time. We all turned some heads of people walking in and out of the store. Definitely a fun shred session. Oh and on the way back from Dick's, I drove past this hot chick with the same exact car as me... Piss Yellow Hyundai Accent. I beeped at her and gave her a thumbs up and she beeped at me and waved. Total soul mate moment right there lol

After the session, Jackson and I used my plunger and practiced double dexes in my pool. It worked great. Can't wait to practice again. Oh but, while we were in the Dick's parking lot leaving to go home, I yelled to Jackson, "HEY WHEN WE GET HOME, YOU WANNA USE THE TOILET PLUNGER TO PRACTICE ONE-LEGGED DOUBLE DEXES IN MY POOL?!?!" I got some strange looks for that one. (And on a side note, my kitten escaped from the yard when we were plunger drilling and hasn't returned and it's been like 5 hours... Really worried. Actually trying to take my mind off of it by blogging. Maybe when I finish he'll be waiting on the porch. I can only hope... I'm being optimistic about it, but it's hard..) Later, Jackson and I walked down to Phoenixville and kicked in front of the public. When we got there, these kids told us that Phoenixville put a ban on "Hacky Sack"... Good thing we play "Footbag"... Those fuckers. That's gotta be THE fucking stupidest rule I've ever heard being enforced. Oddly enough, while we were kicking, a cop rode his bike right by us and looks right at us shredding and flailing our legs like crazy, then continues on without saying a word. PWNED.

It was really cool, at the end of our session, this girl walks up to us and says "Is that a hacky sack?" We didn't wanna complicate things, so we said "yeah!" She replies, "I used to do a little bit of that in highschool, can I play with you guys?" We welcomed her to our 2 man circle. She used her knees quite a bit, and she could really keep it going. Cool to see. We asked her if she'd ever played soccer, since she used her knees so much, and she said that she hadn't. Even cooler. Usually soccer player hack with their knees, but she just picked it up from kicking a footbag. Sweet. She had flip-flops on, so she took them off to kick. Jackson took of his shoes too, to level playing fields a little. I joined them. The girl, Christine, hit her first toe stalls! We prop'd her.

Just checked the back door and my kitten was waiting there. I'm so relieved. I opened the door and he came running inside, then started rubbing his head on the table leg, like nothing ever happened. Little bastard... Well, like I said, eventful day, to say the least. Just glad it ended on that positive note. I can rest easy tonight... Now it's time for footbag videos with Jackson
