bleed holes

hey y´all

while stiching my latest bag i got nearly crazy sewing the short sides of the hexes together and i read somewere that o´weel bags(f.e.) have bleed holes...i can see that this would make the stiching more easy,but does this infect the performance of the bag?

so if some stichers could give me some advice that would be highly apreciated(sp?)

Pretty much all stitchers use bleed holes. In fact, I can't think of any that don't find it common practice. ...Except for you, now.
Yeah, they're pretty usual. I find it odd that you stitch them closed.

if you make bleed holes correctly, they shouldn't leak at all, all you have to do is find the perfect size for them to be. then you will save time by not sewing as much, and also, with more area that isn't sewn up, the bag will be softer and more stallable.

well nathan...since i like your bags alot i think this should also work for me hm...the size...yes the size was allways my enemy...but i dont know why i dont think of such logical things like that for myself!what would be a good size to have bleed holes?i mean,if someone would tell me this could save me hours of experimenting!

Jeremys bags have bleed holes ::exams the bag::I cant see em it looks like the corners are stitched together considering i got a panel off of it lol

see the bag in my sig has the bleed holes stiched together...and when i look at f.e. o weel bags,the sides of the hexes were they meet looks pretty much same size than mine,and with my stiching i´m realy afraid that the filller will fall out,since i´m using small filler!and i mean small!but i have made some new templates for patterns and i will try it with even smaller small sides of the hexes..
