Rain City Shred is just starting to look around for sponsorship for this year's Seattle Juggling and Footbag Festival. I'm starting this thread to both get your opinions, thoughts, advice, pointers, etc. and to (when SJFF4!!! has happened and is on its way out) eventually become a general thread on this topic.
So, shed your light! Does anyone know any good companies to look to for sponsorship for this type of event?

hhere are some basic tips to getting sponsor ship.
explain who you are, what you are doing, why you need sponsorship, why they should sponsor you, and what you are willing to offer in return.
so basically if you want to write them an e-mail it should be similar to this.
hi i'm sam potter from Rain city footbag club. we are club from here in seattle who do demos at many major events as well as host an international footbag and juggling tournament. once again we are putting on the SJFF which draws people from the usa and canada of all ages to seattle for this weekend festival. footbag is this thing we do with oour feet, here is a link to a video, check footbag.org for more information on the sport. we hold the competition and then do the finals as a big show at a theater X. after last years success, we hope to go bigger and better for our 4th tournament and we are currently looking for sponsorship. we want to have event tshirts, a larger venu and lots of prizes to attract more players from around the continent. footbag is a very young sport that is starting to gain international fame, and is one of the fast growing sports in the world. Nestle co. is currently doing an australia wide footbag advertising campaign, pepsi did a mjor campaign in japan in 2003 and since then the japanese scene has exploded. here is you chance to get in on the ground floor of what has the potential to become a major alternative sport, such as skateboarding. in return for your sponsorship we would happily add your company name/ logo on our t-shirts, flyers, etc. and mention your company/ store every time we do a demo for the following year.
