Canuckers!

Post by Skippy! »

Hey, fellow Canadians out there. Hockey season has begun, and Canadians all over the country are showing their colours by buying jerseys and flags and all that other hockey merchandising. Why do I bring up hockey on the footbag forum? Here it is:

i do not like hockey

I've had people tell me it's un-canadian to not like hockey. And that I should be ashamed...but I think that's a crock of poo. What do you footbaggers think of Hockey? And you Canadians out there, am I a treacherous bastard for not loving hockey?

EDIT: I wanted to make a poll, but couldn't. Whoops.

I love hockey man, and I love how Ottawa has the best team they've ever had and are going to win the cup this year.

The new rules are awesome, the league is so much more intense now, higher scoring, faster play, it's great!!!

Ahh... I don't think I've ever seen any real hockey... it looks pretty cool... but that's probably just my mighty ducks memories... we should make a footbag movie, mighty ducks style... mmm... "quack quack"

I would be interested to see some hockey but I don't know if it screens much in my country... oh well.

I FUCKING LOVE HOCKEY..i have been playing hockey my entire life..as of recently not as much due to footbag but hockey is still great. I find it alot more entertaining than other sports because it is so fast paced and the new rules in the NHL are fantastic. The shootout rule is great, its already been used so many times and its much better to watch then normal overtime
...and oh yeah...GO RANGERS!..even though they suck ahah, perhaps they will do better this year.

Hockey is my favorite sport. It's more liquid than any other team sport, unhindered by human's clunky bipedal movement. On skates, people littlerally glide, it's closer to flight than anything else we've come up with.

I'm happy that the league is going again, and I'm happy that Montreal is looking good so far, even if they did lose to Ottowa tonight.

ever since the departure of my dearly beloved jets to arizona, where when asked why people say they like hockey they say "the fights", i have no club alliance, so i only ever watch world juniors, olympics, world cup, things where it's national teams playing. i couldn't give 2 shits if tampa bay beat carolina. the only time i have any mild interest is when it's a canadian team vs a us team, or when it's 2 of the old school originals.

That's what football is for.

I've become really uninterested with hockey ever since they had their little strike. I used to pay a little attention to hockey because we had a fantasy hockey league, but other than that, I don't care much for it.

Lol. :D (remember, if you come to Tampere, the best team is Ilves and Tappara is just a curse word. This is Tappara's damn ugly logo, just for you that you'd recognize it and avoid it: Image)

I don't mind playing hockey. I'm not much of a hockey spectator though. I used to go to an oilers game about once a month. My favorite part was definately.. THE ONION RINGS. Otherwise I really only enjoyed watching this one playoff game between the oilers and the dallas. Oilers came back from 1-3 in like the last 5 minutes to tie up 3-3... Went into overtime and oilers went on to win the game.

I don't think you are a treacherous bastard for not liking hockey, even though I happen to be a huge fan of hockey at all levels. For the record, the best hockey games to go to are the NCAA college hockey games, where the rinks are full of chanting students. Let's go Big Red!

I love playing hockey too. It's fall and already I'm playing more hockey than footbag. Funny thing is, lately I've been kicking alot of pucks out of the air... must be the footbag instincts.

As for the new NHL, I've only seen highlights so far (no full games) but it looks pretty exciting. It's gotten pretty hard to catch hockey games on TV down in the states. I'm going to watch so many Canucks games when I'm home for the holidays and I can't wait for another Vancouver playoff meltdown in the spring.

THE RANGERS FUCKING SUCK AHHH!!! :x

they lost to the islanders back to back games, both pathetic and should have won both. First game Jagr breaks his stick in the shootout and nylander hits the post on an open net. Second game they lose 5-4...great job rangers...went from being in 1st place to losing back to back games

Lacrosse is Canada's National game.

I don't mind Hockey (the game), but the fans are overly fanatic if you ask me :)
