Novice Competitions

Post by Bander87 »

I know this shouldn't be in this section, but I thought more newbies would read it here.

There has been a few beginner players that have posted their videos on here recently such as Ethan, Freddy, and Logan. I've been kinda wanting a novice competition of some sort. We know you have cameras!

I'm also a novice and I've entered in the sick 3 twice in a row. Sure I came in last and 2nd to last with a tiltless combo, but I join because its fun, like seeing what I can do, and push for other novices to compete (oh yeah, I like seeing my video in the releases too 8) ) Why don't more novices compete? I can understand if you arn't at that point yet where you can't do 3 tricks in a row. Maybe we could do a video battle.

Feedback please, thanks!

If you guys prefer I could make a novice devision in the sick1 and sick3 competitions.
It would basicly be just for tiltless players and maybe it would encourage more to enter? I would LOVE to see 10 tiltless players go head to head in sick3 and sick1 :D.

yeah nic that would be alot better...it would give us players a chance at actually winning instead of fighting for the lower spots in the sick competitions.

 also if you make a novice section mayb you could try out the sick 10. that way you could do the same prizes and stuff and get to experiment with using other numbers for sick competitions...any novice player who enters the sick 1 3 and 10 could be randomly selected to win a prize just like in the sick competitions now.

Sick 10 would be great for novice I think because it gives people a chance who can't do 10 tricks in a row to bail to some toe stalls while still having a good string.

Yeah sounds awesome. I'd definitely like to enter...gulp. Haha but I have to A. get a decent camera, and B. I probably wouldn't be able to do it til the second week of November at the earliest. So if I miss the first one, I should be able to enter the second one. Sounds great.

Dude, SO into this!! Real keen... me who says I don't really dig comps... But sick 1 3 10 15 etc I like those kind of comps, maybe I'll come around to comps in time hehe.

What would the skill level cap be at? Like, if my best sick 3 was smear > fairy butterfly > ripwalk ...? Yes/no?

Hm...novice sounds fun. It's a good thing these kids showed their stuff at their stage. I's too much of a chicken shit to do it. Good work, guys! Pioneer for the newbs!

Sounds good and interesting to me, still I personally would prefer stuff like Sick3. Up to what add count max (with 3 tricks)?

Yeah, I am pretty new, but that still doesn't change the fact that I don't understand what you're getting at in that sentance. Enlighten me, please.
