Patriot Act

Post by Blackend »

Well, today marks four years since the edict of the Patriot Act. Since I know most of you hate America anyway, might as well have a discussion about the Patriot Act.

I can see where the Patriot Act can be a good thing, but just as many uses of a good thing can be misused in a bad way, such as taking away rights of a certain minority in the nation. The same thing happened here to the Germans after their defeat in the First World War and again to the Japanese after the Second.

This is a serious discussion. If you want to flame America, go do it in the "America is the bestest country" topic.

Useless State-sponsored Action Purporting to Attack Terror While Really Initiating an Oligarchic Takeover.

If you like the USA PATRIOT act you failed to grasp the lessons
and the real terror behind the attacks on Ess Eleven
destructive power of imaginary massive destructive weapons
The dangers and risks of men claiming to be blessed by heaven

Screw the Act. They had all the powers they needed before, but with no balls. We know the cells could have been rounded-up.

We know that Atta was indentified and reported years before, but to no avail.

Now we know that the same group identified a plot in Yemen, before the U.S.S Cole was struck. They warned the navy not to dock ships there.

They are unwilling to use their vast powers to hunt down the foreign cells in the U.S.

Every new power seem to be against the U.S. citizen.

The Patriot Act might not seem so bad now. But usually it takes the next leader or two to fully use it's powers to establish permanent control.

Bush isn't intelligent or ambitious enough to seize total control.

He can tip us towards the NWO or the Oligarchic Takeover, because there are still a bunch of Bushs and Clintons that can still assume the presidency .

Jeb, Laura, Hillary, Chelsea, George P., Jenna and Barb ...... scary!!!!!!!
Is Wayne Brady gonna have to choke a bitch?

YES you could! do you even know what the patriot act includes!?!
ANYONE can be declared an "enemy combatant" (even though they NEVER define what an enemy combatant is) you can be taken away and held indefinitly- no trial- no lawyers nothing.
Patriot act includes alot more messed up stuff than that also.

They did that to a guy here in Chicago. He didnt exactly "disappear" but they took him off to guantanamo bay (torture is illegal in the U.S.) and he doesnt get any lawyer or representation and hes been there 2-3 years now.

This should get merged with the "Impeach Bush" Thread. The door is wide fuckin' open for it now.

I am ridiculously PISSED OFF that the Senate agreed to an extension of the Patriot Act. I think it was a sincere act of stupidity to back down in any way on their Fillibuster.

well Bush's approval rating is below 40%, which is comforting. people are waking up.

But anyways, the patriot act is wack. i was scared when it was drafted.
