Classical Music

Post by Bander87 »

So I was really pissed trying to do math hw because I missed the days lesson while the family does this and that and I remember my friend saying classical music is sooo relaxing.

Well, I'm playing some right now, and I'm not pissed anymore

But I still have to do the math hw...

Just wanted to share :D

Apparently listening to Mozart makes you smarter?
I tried this while writing a paper on Gustav Klimt's Beethoven Frieze.

I listen to classical when I sleep and I've noticed I sleep better.

Didn't mythbusters do something about growing plants to heavy metal, classical, and no sound? And wasn't the results that heavy metal made them grow the best?

I like classical music. Especially Wagner, Bach, Beethoven and Mozart but I listen to a lot of other stuff too. Phillip Glass is also very cool.

Yeah mythbusters did that... I think it was heavy metal but can't really remember. Classical music is supposed to be very good to listen to while studying.

The whole 'Mozart makes you smarter' study is kind of a bust. People did do a little better on whatever tests were presented to them after listening to ten or so minutes of music, but it wasn't any different than doing the test after ten minutes of, say, a foot massage. The difference was that they were in a relaxed and pleasent mood.

As for classical music, Chopin is king. Nobody else is so consistantly emotionally devistating/uplifting.
