This may be a stupid question, but would it be possible to use paypal for that? I'm not really sure anymore as to what worldfootbag takes. Just a suggestion.

Do they have Simon Gift Cards in Australia? You can use them just the same as credit cards. Just find out the total amount for the shoes and put that much on the card. I've bought sandmans from them doing this.

Putting your credit card online is always a risk, no matter what site you put it on.

Despite that your credit card is always at risk, whether you put it online or not, is irrelevant because no matter what credit company you go through, its online and accessible to hackers. Your credit card number, personal information associated to that card, and purchase history is stored on a database that is also accessible through the internet. Obviously this information has a a lot of security in front of it and lots of protection, but so does worldfootbag.com. Putting your credit card number online does present a risk, but is it any more risky than using your credit card at any store in the nation...? In my opinion.. not really. Remind your mother of this, and have her do a little research online. After this research, if she is still uncomfortable, at least she has reasons to be this way, and not just rumors or superstitions about online fraud. Online fraud does exist and it is an issue but there are hefty measures out there to protect you, and everyone should know this.

I am currently studying IT security at RIT, and I am in no way a professional, but I do know what I am talking about for the most part. If your mother really does feel insecure, she should have concrete reasons why. Just putting your name online presents a risk, but just about everyone on this forum does it, because they trust modified. I have had my debit account number on paypal for about 2 or 3 years now, and have never had a problem, simply because of the security they have implemented on their servers and databases.

The only absolute secure method for avoiding fraud is never applying for the card. By applying for a card, you have presented yourself the risk of having that card number stolen by a hacker. Your education and trust determines where and when you will use your card.

Just my views as a professional networking major and past experiences, take them as you will. Knowledge is power!

I have ordered 3 pairs of lavers from world footbag using a visa card and have never had a problem. Also remind her that you are not responsible for purchases made using a stolen number.
