copying cd's to the computer

Post by logan »

hey guys. I am using windows media player to copy my cd's to my computer, but the problem is that is saves the file as ".wma" - I need it as an mp3 so that I can burn it. Do you guys know how to convert them? thanks.

If you're using windows media player, upload your cds into the media library of that program using Copy from Media or Device tab. After you're done with that, click the Copy to CD or Device tab, and just burn them to cd. You don't need to change the file types.

I'm assuming you're joking cuz you're up late on your crack binge, but he's obviously just using his own cds to make a mixed cd, and has already paid for all the music he's doing it with. Not making a comment on pirated music, just pointing out that what you said was either joking, or completely disjointed from the topic.

Tools > Options (Rip Music Tab) and change the format. I recommend 192Kbps.

Just get CDex (from http://www.download.com). It is a very strong and small program for advanced music ripping.

If you want to use windows media player to rip files to mp3 instead of wma first go to Tools>options>rip music> and click the drop down list by Rip Settings, Format: and change it to mp3.

This is for WMP 10.
