I just got Pink Floyd The Wall (the movie), and decided to copy it to my hard drive (I have a mac btw) and it worked just by opening the CD and dragging it over, but now I can't play the movie off my computer, I know that the new version of iTunes allows you to play movies, but I can't figure it out? Do I need some special program or something? I noticed that it imported a bunch of small files numbered as if they're tracks or something, but each one was imported three times under different file types: .BUP .IFO .VOB
There's gotta be some computer wiz mac users out there, any help?

Hmmm, did you actually download the new itunes? If so then no other program should be required. I drag videos to my itunes all the time and they work, usually they are .mov or .mp4 files. Do you use quicktime? I tried dragging windows media player into itunes just now and it doesn't work. I think only quicktime will work (another mac program). How big is the file? It might be too big to play. Do you want to only watch it in itunes or other programs? Do you have quicktime? Or another player like realtime or windows media player? Maybe try those...I don't know too much about this so I can't really help... hope you figure it out sometime in the future.

okay, so it wasn't a cd that you dragged and dropped on to your hard drive, it was a DVD (that was the larger .VOB files are, DVD-Video files). You can watch those (sometimes) using programs like VLC, but the best bet is to put the video back in your computer and rip it to a format that most video players will understand, and one that will be much smaller than teh 4 or 5 gigabytes that a DVD comes as.
here is a tutorial for how to back up your DVDs to your mac. Not sure if MactheRipper is a freeware tool or not, but I know there are lots of free tools out there. Google "DVD Ripping Mac Freeware" and I'm sure you'll find lots of them.
