Scientology
I heard people talking about a new south park that made fun of scientology and how crazy the beliefs of the religion are.
I read a little about it at wikipedia, and it is wacky!
They believe that aliens came and brainwashed humans into beliving in Christianity and Islam. And all this other crazy stuff.
what a strange religion. Tom cruise is bannanas.
but the last samuria was still a sweet movie.

Re: Scientology
Let's make on thing clear: scientology is not a religion.carl winslow wrote:I heard people talking about a new south park that made fun of scientology and how crazy the beliefs of the religion are.
Scientologysist (sp?) believes that science can solve any problems and that science can answer to everything. But they don't believe in anything supernatural and they don't have any ceremons.
When a cult or something like that is called a religion it must full some requirements:
1) A religion must have inscriptions and rules.
2) A religion must have faith for something supernatural.
3) A religion must have ceremonial habits and/or certain behaviour ways.
Also in most countries a cult can be registered to a religion only if it has some needed number of followers and if it doesn't break any laws of the country.
Satanism isn't a registered religion because their ceremons are against the law.
Scientology isn't a religion because they don't believe in anything supernatural and most of them don't share any ceremons or habits that's only scientology would use. They do say that it's a religion, but that's the funny part. THEY should know it isn't.
Whoa. I wasn't on philosophys science course for nothing...

Re: Scientology
"In some of the teachings Hubbard had intended only for this select group, he claimed that Jesus had never existed, but was implanted in humanity's collective memory by Xenu 75 million years ago, and that Christianity was an "entheta [evil] operation" mounted by beings called Targs (Hubbard, "Electropsychometric Scouting: Battle of the Universes", April 1952). Thus, critics claim, Hubbard makes clear his belief that advanced Scientologists are to identify Jesus and Christianity more as a force of evil than as a force for good."ana_ali wrote: Scientologists believes that science can solve any problems and that science can answer to everything. If you'll read their beliefs on Xenu, you'll see that it is, in fact, quite supernatural.

You can't be a christian against your own will... being forced to go to church doesn't make you a christian and I don't understand people that say they are catholic or chistian or whatever just cause their parents are, that just makes no sense. It's not heriditary people.Jdigges wrote:Well atleast they got the "Christians are Brainwashed" thing right haha. i used to be a christian, so im alloud to say that![]()
against my will.

Conforming to Christian or Catholic rules doesn't make you a christian/catholic. If you don't believe me then you don't understand the religion well enough
Yeah I understand that, when you're younger you just believe what you're told.
Apparantly sneaker-pimpin' aint easy... well I think a lot of the hip hop that comes out these days is shitful and reminds me of the shitty dance music they play in clubs... bring on the real dance music...
p.s. religion is a sucky word... I'm in full belief of christianity and am hugely involved in my church and all that, but I would not consider myself 'religious'.
