First 2 weeks

Post by KickinCraze »

Hey I'm new to footbag. I've been playing for 2 weeks and I've been getting better at my kicks. My right (strong) foot can do insides and outsides well, but my toe kicks aren't as controlled. I can do toe stalls every once in awhile, and I've been hitting some clippers last few bag sesh's. I also did some shoulder stalls..I was just messin around and it came to me. My left foot can only really do outsides, my insides and toe kicks are horrible. What advice could you give me for in the future and what would you advice me to practice?

get both feet working the same, definitly improve ur left foot to the point where you can switch feet kicking it around 50 some times. I would recommend stretching before and after kicking as well, it will give ur kicks a lot more range and help u to keep the bag up for longer, that way u can have even more fun with learning the kicks. Oh yeah work on your knee bumps too. good luck :)

it'll pay off when u freestyle, the way u need to lift ur knees for a lot of sets and stuff.. it'll just build lifting strength and make things easier for u down the line. Learn from my mistakes 8)

If you are serious about footbag, get lavers. If you dont have a good bag, get a mr sandbag from www.freedomfootbags.com And one of the most important, practice on BOTH sides. Its verrry important.
