Im looking into buying some facile in a couple weeks. I was wondering how many footbags could you potentially make out of a yard of facile?

My first footbag wasn't made from facile. I don't feel like you need to bother with facile until you've got a handle on the stitching. Facile's a tricky fabric because it leaves almost no room for error since it's not a woven fabric and you can't just backtrack or replace your needle placement.
My first footbag was made out of a thick crushed panne-like material. Check for some faux suede at your local fabric store. It'll be sufficient to practice on.

Yea i wasn't planning on getting a whole yard of one color. i just wanted to know how many you could make out of just one yard to conceptualize how much facile would cost when i was ready to start stitching it. I've got a fabric store a couple blocks down the street from me. Ill hit it up after new years after the stitching tutorial
thanks peng!

My first bag was a 32 facile. Just make sure you use the right templates. There's no problem with starting with facile, or starting with a 32 pattern, just make sure you research it thoroughly before starting. one 1/8 yard panel is enough for tons of bags, so you can get that if you want. You can use other fabric as well, but I think using facile for the first was good because it got me used to the fabric right away.
