Abshires are better than Mr. Sandbags

Post by dp »

I now officially like my Abshire Mini better than my Mr. Sandbags. I was playing today with my Mr's and I wasn't doing good. I felt so lazy, my sets were all over the place, my dexes, I won't even talk about them. So I throw the Mr. across the room. "Dammit, I don't wanna walk all the way over there," I thought. So I go pick up my Abshire which is laying right by me. I start to kick, then do clippers, then legovers and it hit me. I'm doing a lot better with the abshire... So I keep playing with it and I still did do better, my stepping set, my butterflies, even the cursed mirages were better. I find when playing with the Abshire, everything I do is cleaner, and while the stalls are worse, I know that the bag will only get choicer, and my stalls will only get better. I'm so estatic about this because I hated the Abshire when I first got. I kept saying in my head, just give it time but I have another friend who got one (who has by now flaked outta footbag and moved onto juggling) and he hated the thing, everyday he told me how it was hard to stall, hard to stall, hard to stall. But now, it is officially better then my Mr. Sandbags... :D

Depends on your skill level and what you want to do. Mini- bags are harder to stall, but set truer. Minis are nicer for dexy shuffle, but I find them much harder for stuff like ducks and spins. As an open-level player, I prefer 32 panel bags. But for beginners and intermediates, sandbags can be much more forgiving. I wouldn't say either is better, so much as each have their advantages for different styles, and different skill levels.

Well, yea, but I'm now doing better with the abshire, so for me, they're better.
