There was a review of this in Playboy a couple of months ago or something.

I've been following this game ever since this thread was originally posted. The release date is Sept. 7.

This game looks like it could be the game to end all games.

Yeah I've been very excited about it as well. In fact it was one of the main motivations for getting a new computer last year. I'm a little concerned about all the delays though, but I'm sure I'll still play it :)

Ya, it'll be the first and probably only game I ever pre-order. Even if it's half as good as what it looks like, it'll still be one of the best games.

Ya, but now they have an actual release date. And if you've seen recent videos, you can tell it's pretty much done. This game is so huge, it's amazing that it isn't going to take even longer to make.

This game looks unbelievable. I guess I better start saying goodbye to my friends, my life and my other hobbies. I saw it on G4 awhile ago, but I started watching like halfway into it and didn't know what the game was called. Good thing I saw this thread.

They released the creature creator last month. There's a free one that has 25% of the content and a $10 one that has %100 of the content. It's pretty fun.

But I hear that a bunch of people are just making really falic monsters so while you all want some cool carebear hunts and stuff your just going to be surrounded by penis/vagina monsters.

They have a system that allows people to flag "objectionable" material in their game and it will be removed. If enough people flag something, it will be reviewed and possibly deleted from the Spore servers.

Downloading now - 3 hours to go :(

Also I wanted to register my discontent with the EA Download manager. What an annoying piece of software! Not so much now - more the fact that it keeps telling me stupid things whenever I was using the creature creator, and the fact that I'm too lazy to delete it from my startup folder.
