MP3 Players - to shred and exercise with -

Post by HooD »

Sooo... Spring is coming and I threw my nano in the washer. I need to get another MP3 player that has a good bit of storage (atleast 1 g), sweatproof, light, and kickass. I checked previous threads and couldn't find too much info so does anyone have some good info or good picks ??

I have one of these Phillips Nike ones . I cannot say anything against them relating to sweat proveness. The technique is not good . I am not able to just copy and paste songs. Maybe they changed that now.

Otherwise I am no expert and I do not know i there are versions with more than 1 gb.

I've got the 512 MB Shuffle. I put it in my pocket when I go running, (I run cross country so I run a lot) and also when I mow the lawn. When I shredding I plug it into speakers. As long as you only put your favorite songs on the thing, I bet you'll like it just fine.

I've got a Creative n200 512mb -mp3-player. I've liked it very much but there are some not-that-minor problems:

- it changed the language to some Asian language in my pocket and I can't change it back to English :? So I'm just guessing which song would be which...
- it doesn't play mp3-files. So far basically all the music has been .wma but yesterday I tried to put some .mp3-music there too. Result: I got the files to the player but it won't play them. The files are okay because I checked and removed them back to the computer and it played them well.

I feel a bit cheated (and stupid!) because I payed 170€ for that. Actually I first bought a Creative MuVo TX 256mb -player but that didn't work at all so the people at the shop got frustrated too and just gave me this different model.
It worked fine first but now when the problems appear I see that the papers I've got are for the older model. Anyways, there's no guarantee left and it'd be no use to start fighting.

i gots the black 2 gig nano. does pretty well. i wear it to work, skate and shred. i also have the car dock thing to play over my car stereo. its taken a beating. i also have a shuffle. its not near as good, and you cant pick a song order. too bad.

the nano works well if you get the armband, but if its in pockets, it falls out easy. maybe if you tape it to....something...nvm.

nano is the best i think. im not an expert. apple does have a pretty good warrenty tho. see if theyll replace it. my friend got a 40 gig replaced for free, and it was just real scratched. still played n everything
