Hurricanes by The Game
Hurricanes by The Game
Today i went to the mall looking for a new pair of shoes. Naturally when i walked into the store, the footbag part of my mind went nuts. I looked at every shoe and thought about how well they would be for footbag. That is when i came across the Hurricanes. They are very similar to the lavers, slightly lighter, and very mod-able. Here are some pics of them, tell me what you think.

why exactly don't you guys think the insides won't work?
Because they're bulged out?
Don't you think that once the leather is removed they will be more flexible and allow the area to flatten out to a nice surface?
Come on, be more imaginative!
Good find Troyson.

i just bought these yesterday...somewhat pricy at a price of $80, but they come with an extra pair of black laces and an armband!
It will be a little while before i mod these considering i already have 3 pairs of lavers, but i did some light shredding in these today and the insides are fine. There isnt too much roll off, and i was still able to hit clippers and osis in jeans, so overall i like so far.
These are also extremely easy to mod if i would choose to. The layer in the middle that i would mod off is already separated from the material underneath it, so a few simple cuts would get it right off. The material underneath the leather seems like it would be good. Its like a cushion, and pillowlike , not all that thin however. In addition, the shoe is somewhat lighter than lavers, and if modded properly i think these would be a great shred shoe.

Yeah, I would be interested in the sole of the shoe. Nice find man!

everyone seems to hate any new ideas thrown out there when it comes to shoes. i understand most of you would defend that you are making important points, but in my opinion when theres a blatant resistance to change in the shoe department you have to start to wonder why..
its true, you shouldnt fix something thats not broken, but lavers are far from perfect, and these are similar in SO many ways that i dont even believe theres room for anyone but troy to comment on the shredability of em based on the pics. now, IM the one thats sorry for going off. i look forward to the day someone finds a shoe thats better looking than frikken lavers, at least. not to mention the material of a perfect "shred shoe" would be super light, form fitting, and flat and lavers are clunky, truncated, fuhgly and the best damned thing we got.
im open to any chance of an alternative and there simply arent enough reasons to reject this one. (cept the damned price jeez)
sorry im goin to bed now- peace out all!

I am envisioning the maddest turf wars if these shoes take hold, with gang violence between the G-Unit wearers and the Hurricane shredders tearing the footbag community in two. Drive-by shootings at footbag tournaments, the whole bit!
