Okay, so I'm not going to go buy Lavers, even though I should. My new footbag combined with my birds is leaving me broke. My best shredding shoes are Circa MA207se's. viewable here: http://www.boardtodeathsports.com/graph ... A207se.jpg

They are leather mostly, and I've done lacing modifications to open up the toe box (now I can do stalls!), but I want to know if theres anything else I can do to get the best out of these, since most mods are written up for Lavers or other Addidas, like G-Units.

There's no way to know for sure before you slice into them, but I'm assuming if you cut off the leather on the toe and on the inside surface (perhaps all the white, maybe a little more depending on where you want to catch your clippers,) there will probably be a softer, much more freestyle friendly surface underneath.

Try and check out the material under the leather by feeling inside the shoe, you might end up with a fatty hole in your shoe. If it does seem like there's a nother layer underneath that leather, take a sharp razor blade or exacto knife and start making gradual cuts about an inch wide along the outer edge of the toe/inside.

You want to make the cuts very very carefully; you'll see when it's starting to cut into the first layer and eventually you'll see the inner layer... obviously, don't cut this... keep going and cut off all the upper material, once you slice a good enough portion you'll be able to put your finger in there and pull it apart from the inner layer in order to make the cutting a little easier and faster. Then toss em in hot water and air dry them to get rid of the glue.

That's all assuming there is a better inner layer.. but I have no idea what they're made of so try this at your own risk!

Thanks but I found me some better freestyle shoes

. I had an old pair of nike airs that I modded and now they are good. you can see em in the "post your shoes" topic. Thanx anyway!

Oh and I probably wouldnt want to cut open these just on a chance- They skate REAL well

There's no shoes that are going to be good for both skateboarding and footbag. If you're broke, stay with what you've got until you can afford some lavers, climas or g-units.
