Weighing footbags

Post by D »

I'm just wondering what you guys use to weigh your footbags you make. Do you just go buy a scale? I'm interested because I have sewn a couple 4-panel footbags and want to start making 32's but I don't know the exact weight I like.

First I stand on the scale with footbag in hand and record my weight. Then I weigh myself without the footbag and subtract.

J/k, I have hand scale (about $4 at Starship) and a digital postal scale I got at a pawn shop, that I use to weigh footbags.

Where at in Oklahoma are ya D?

Hey D,

If you dont want to but a scale, you can make one from this site: http://www.footbagsewing.com/Homemade%20scale.html

Seems like it would work but it might not be exactly precise in weighing bags. I'd recommend just buying an electronic scale.

In the past I have gone to grocery stores and weighed items on their produce scales. You might get some weird looks but it is a cheap alternative.

Hope this helps.

You can pick up a digital scale that works PERFECTLY for footbags at any local Pot Shop for like, 20 bux... very worthwhile investment if you're into stitching. (or dealing drugs)

keep it real

You can often get a cheap digital gram scale on ebay. Sometimes it's even cheaper than in pawn shops and pot shops.
