to answer the most important question: YES, THEY ARE MODABLE LIKE LAVERS!!! this is the good news. i modded the inside as well as the toe. and the mesh feels so soft you wont believe it. to mee it looks even more durable than the ones of the lavers. and modding is less dangerous to cut through and much easier than with lavers, cuz behind the standard black canvas, there is some white foam in between and then comes the mesh. you only gotta rub away this, which takes its time, ok... to tell the truth, most of the time youll be rubbing with your fingers when modding this shoe..

here you can see the toe. it is very difficult to keep a connection between the upper part of the tongue and the wings on the side, because the black canvas that you remove connects it. even if you made it, you´ll need gremlin´s fingers to mod the rest of it. i think its ok like this.

there are differences beetween the leather and the mesh g6. one thing is that the toe of the mesh points up, while the leather toe goes almost straight. also the mesh hat a bigger heel support!! these two facts lets the shoe fit smaller so that it theres less toe freedom which makes it feel a bit uncomfortable. so here is my advice: if your usual (snug but comfortable) gunit size is 8, get 8.5. of course i cant say that for everyone, but for me 8.5 would probably fit better while leather 8 is alright. this was the disappointing fact about the shoe. but ill keep testing them and see if its gonna widen a bit..
also, you can pull out some of the support on the inside, but i hit clipper and inside anyway so i dont feel like its necessary.

conclusion:
all in all i can say the shoe rocks!!! the mesh is super soft and it felt more sticky. i tested them with a footfighter and an abshire reg. i love these combinations best: lavers + ff and g6mesh + abshire. right in my first session ive hit stuff i havent hit before, eg several clipper ss. my left clipper was higher. all you gotta know is that. size 8 gunit is still longer than size 8,5 lavers, but it might feel smaller for you because of the extra support and the toe that points up, so you might wanna get it half a size bigger. i wear a 8,5 laver, a 8 leather gonit and maybe soon a 8,5 mesh gonit, depending on how its gonna develope.
