what does "far" mean

i have seen this term used a lot and i was wondering what it is.
i.e. far legover, far osis

Ok I don't know what your level of play is but if you are familiar with the "paradox" concept you should be able to grasp this quite easily:

"Far" denotes the following:

- clipper set dexing tricks that are not awarded paradox such as reverse whirl, legover, pickup or dyno to name a few. For the case of reverse whirl, a lot of people think they hit a paradox reverse whirl but since reverse whirls don't get a paradox add it's called a "far" reverse whirl. Another example: a far butterfly is an infinity. Finally in the case of osis, far is used to indicate what osis was hit. "clipper > osis" is not sufficient to know if the osis is a "near" osis or a "far" one.

Far means clipper set and and opposite side component, usually with the original clipper setting leg.

For example clipper set from left side (using right foot of course) across your body to the right side. Use your right leg to do a legover. That's far legover. Understand?

EDIT: Not as important to understand but... some far tricks get the paradox add such as mirage and normal whirl. Basically all paradox tricks are "far" but not all far tricks are paradox.
