work-at-home or online jobs?
I was just looking around for at-home or online jobs, but I have no idea if any are scams or are for real. I won't put in any info. asked unless I am sure of something. So far I haven't been sure, and my computer warned me about most of the offers so far. Have any of you had any real at-home or online jobs that were decent? I already have a job, but I barely get any hours in anymore, because I have a baby, and I don't really have a babysitter (or the money or something to hire one) except for my mom or sister when she is off and willing to babysit, which isn't enough. I need to make ore money than I am.

Hehe. Nah. It's McAfee SiteAdvisor. It tests out links and lets you know if they are okay to click on or not. It will tell you that it received lots of spam mail after filling stuff out or if there were pop-ups or if there were misleading things....stuff like that. It's pretty cool, I guess.

If you're good at sports betting or poker I hear you can make a living doing it online. But yeah, I'll assume that if you were good, you'd already be doing that. SOOoooo...
This sounds terrible, but you can be a telemarketer and work from home. Hey you're not killing anybody, and if people really don't want to talk to you they can just hang up the phone
If you're technically inclined, or know certain software really well some tech support jobs let you work from home. People call in and get routed through to you at home.

Start a daycare. You already have your own kid to watch, so the more the merrier, right? Not sure how big your home is but you could probably fit another 4 or 5 kids in for day care.

i went online to look for jobs once... i went to careerbuilder.com. i wouldnt suggest this because its too much of a hastle for stupid jobs. craigslist.org also is one of those kids of sites.
but last yeat i got this great offer. try doing a search for fusion marketing. i dont know the link but this is what i did:
i sent them a resume. they also ask for a picture. they are a marketing firm that does promotions for companies like bellsouth and levis. they only have promotional jobs which means that they only have work about 3 times a year. i applied around november last year... and i got a call the next day. they wanted people to be "authorized bellsouth agents". that ending up being 12 an hour plus commission. what my job was, was to go into cingular wireless stores and pretty much promote bellsouth. last year cingular and bellsouth merged so then you can get your lan line phone, your bellsouth cable internet, and your cingular wireless bill all together on one piece of paper... rather than getting a bill from both companies.
they had a phone and internet conference for 2 days for trainees to learn the stuff they needed to know. basically during that time all i did was go into the phone conference... put my phone on mute... and went online and didnt pay attention and took a nap. the conference training was 12 an hour for 2 full days. after that we went into local cingular stores. we didnt have to sell anything. but if we did we got 20 for each service we sold. i worked for only 3 days (this was during holiday season) and my overall paycheck with the training included was 600 bucks. it was a sweet deal.
they send emails when they have other promotional work in your area and ask you if youre interested. last week i got an email to work in a local mall and all i had to do was wear those slim jeans that levis is selling. i didnt do it though because they were asking for ladies that wear size 5 or smaller... and well i wear size 9. but they were paying just the same as last year.
you can check it out. fusion marketing. i know that doesnt really answer your question about having a job that you can be around your kid... but its normally only for less than a week and you can make bank.
the only other job that i know some people have that have kids is they sell weed. but you definately dont want to do that. its a stupid idea and i only said that you reiterate the fact of how hard it is to find a stay at home job.

Like say I pay you x amount per hour to visit my website and click on my advertisements.
I would get paid so much money per click and then cut you in on the profit.
It seems legit, but actually violates the terms of the advertising company. So in essence you would be scamming the ad providers.
Others ask you purchase special software (which is the scam cause now they have your credit card info).
If you are trully wanting a job that allows you to work from home, do some real research first so you don't get taken for a ride.
