Would you rather get money for winning at a tournament, or a tournament medallion/trophy with a possibily of a much lesser amount of money?

Personally, I'd like to see more medals/trophies. What sport can you think of that DOESN'T have trophies?! I can think of one...footbag! I've been envolved in a lot of different sports and such in my life and I have trophies for all of those. At Martial Arts tourney's, everyone who was in them got a trophy, of course, winners got better, but it's the thought that counts. Like playing little league baseball, you always get a trophy.

I'd say trophies/medals at more well known competitions with some money, but at the less common well known shred events, just throw in some money.

depends on how much money...If were talking like $500, then maybe the trophy. But anything more than $1000, I want the cash!!!! I'll spend 50 and get my own trophy made, lol.

And Peter, you mean to tell me you wouldn't like having 5 championship trophys on a shelf?

im sick of medals. all they've been giving at judo tourneys have been medals cause they're cheaper, but i like the big trophies!! But the BEST are the plaks (plaques, hehe, i dont know the spelling). Those are always good quality. Money is good and all, but when you're 80, you'll be able to look at your trophies and remember the good times.

Well, BUM, you'd be real lucky to make $500 at a footbag tournament ever. I won worlds 5 times and the most I ever made was like $300, and I've got plaques and medals from all 5 worlds. Ive devoted the last 18 years of my life playing and competing and have barely made enough to cover my costs to tournaments, so a few extra dollars wouldnt hurt. I'm not playing for money or trophys though, so it doesnt matter.

i was thinking more along the lines of getting a trophy if the prize money was under $25, anything over $25, and i'll take money for sure.
