here is how the shoe looks when you start.
so yeah the first thing you want to do is take off that pesky lace holder thats on the toe. to do that cut a few of the stitches off the top of it...
after youve take an few off the top... you can pull it back and see the stitches attached to the shoe... just take an xacto knife or a sharp utility knife and cut those carefully until it comes off.
okay after youve taken that off look inside the shoe. on the inner side of the foot there is a spot where the cloth on the inside where the thread connects the mesh and the stripes together. make sure you cut this off too or else youll get holes when you pull off the stripes later on.
this is how itll look when you get that done.
after that you take an xacto knife and CAREFULLY cut the spot where the fins connect to the top of the white meshy part. only cut down to the mesh and dont actually cut the mesh... you can tell if youve gone far enough by if the blade seems to scrape across something bumpy. dont press too hard at this point. just do some scores across it.
take needle nose pliers and pull them back. they should come off easily.
do the same with the stripes... only these are harder because they are thicker. some people pull the yellow stripe off before the pull the green part off... this depends on if youre good at messing things up or if youre lazy. you decide what you do with it. you will more than likely have holes because thats inevitable. what i do to kinda fix them is i lightly brush a ligheter flame over it and smooth it out with my fingers. but DONT SET YOUR SHEOS ON FIRE or create bigger holes with the lighter.
next you can take off the toe mesh... but not everyone does this. this is so you can feel the bag when it lands on your foot... and other reasons. i took it off these euros because they were cushiony like pillows. i didnt like it. so you take some sharp scissors and cut around the stitches on the toe of the shoe. you can see them... they create the toe box. so cut on the INSIDE of that but done cut too far through or else youll have a hole in your shoe and you dont want that. you then take your xacto knife and pull back the top mesh and cut the little stringy things as you pull back. again dont cut the fabric below the mesh...
then there is the brocka mod. you can do this if you want. my clima1s dont have this mod on them because when i got them they were used and worn down enough on that part. these euros i got are brand new and really poofy. here is a pic of that...
when you finish you should stitch it together so then it wont fray latter on.
you should also put 100% silicone on the little scoop on the inside of the shoe under the white mesh part. i havent done this yet because im about to go shared and i dont want things getting messy so i will do it before i go to bed tonight and post a pic of that...
...but after you do the silicone... you have completely modded shoes!
