Ultrasuede Light, and it's pure awesomeness...

Well, I decided I'd begin to stitch my first bag using Ultrasuede Light today, and upon first impression was cutting the material. Keep in mind the only stitching materials I've used in the past were T-shirt, and some weird stuff called Everest Suede...

Either way, upon cutting it I just about fell down crying in pure amazement. It kinda felt like cutting butter, so smooth, no fraying material, and just, well, pure awesomeness...

Stitching. OW! I am used to the materials listed above, which were really easy to poke the needle through, and required virtually no effort. This stuff is so different, because it seems to be very dense, and it requires a good push to get the needle through...

Stitching itself..
Well, this is like the Cutting, pure amazement. Unlike the everest suede, when you pull the stitches, there is seemingly no resistance. The material is perfectly happy staying gathered...I thought this was very nice, and surprising considering how much denser(denser is a word, isn't it?) it was than everest suede/tshirt...

Well, on to finish the rest of the bag...Has anyone had the same feelings about it?

haha, its a beautiful thing, isnt it? i used some crap materials before ultrasuede light as well and was delighted as well when i made the necessary switch.

Are you using Glover's Needles? They are designed for pushing through leather very easily, they pretty much glide through Ultrasuede Light.

No, I am not..Are they really common, or do you pretty much have to go to a fabric store to get them?

walmart doesnt carry glovers needles. you would need to go to joannes fabrics if you wanted to go somewhere to buy glovers needles.

but im almost positive that kingston footbag sells glovers needles for like... a buck! you could order a couple from them! having 3 or 4 glovers needles is handy when you lose those little suckers! glovers needles are far better than regular stitching needles. the tips of them are kinda triangular and are extremely sharp. once you get one youll love it! (they can get dull but thats a lot of bags until that happens. you can buy them in packs of three for like... 4 bucks)
