I hate new lavers

I am probably going to get hounded for this, so if you could just post the link if there is a topic previously created for this. I have my lavers modded, and yes I know what I like and how to mod. But is there a post regarding breaking in new lavers. Its the most depressing thing to play in lavers that feel like blocks. I have heard about sanding down the sole a tiny bit to get rid of the shiny bottoms that are so slippery. But anyone have any other tips. This is like my 5th pair of lavers and I hate having to break in new ones. I wish some one would sell broken in lavers

it shouldn't really matter; you get used to the change in thickness pretty quick.

I would say, make the toe box, but don't take out the canvas, and wear them around for like a week, maybe warm up in them. after a few, take out the canvas and start playing in them. they should be fine. if not, you suck.

I took the canvas out already, my old lavers have no sole by the ball of my feet, so they are basically unplayable. I will give it a couple sessions. In regards to, if not you suck. you shouldn't pass judgement.

i dislike new laver too, the soles are so thick. I want to go a size down, and they fit, but after an 10 mins of trying them my toes hurt, the canvas is so stiff and rough

and while i'm bitching, the suede toe is often out of proportion, my left laver looks all messed up, on side of the suede is really short, i'm getting around it, but it causes roll off, its annoying

Buy quantums even though you're not using them for shred. support footbag. without buying quantums (cause pf invested all the money in the project) no general footbag growth.

Are the new Laver's really that bad? Or were you just so accustomed to your old pair. I think i might try to break in the soles of mine as well though, especially if we're going to be playing in the SAC alot

find a way to break them shoes in Tom!

you must know, being a philly boy, that kenny sands his lavers. you might try that. Just don't go too far!

I hate the feeling of new lavers, too. Stiff, slippery, heavier, different posture because you're standing on a differently shaped surface...

I DO, however, looooove the feeling of a brand new, just modded set of climas... sharp, grippy, snug, and sensitive IMMEDIATELY. best shoe ever.

I tried climas, I like the toes, but not the insides. I sanded the bottoms of my lavers. The soles are more grippy now, but you are right matt about the posture, I think thats my biggest problem with new shoes. whatever, they are getting there
