Search function, can someone explain it?

Post by jay7 »

Well, I hate bringing up topics that I know have been made many times before, but this damn search feature evades me. I have no clue how to use it, without either getting 54678 results, or 0 results..

Heres what I tried to do, to search how to do a Brocka Mod

Brocka Mod - billions of results..

Brocka Mod how to - Same billions...

AND Brocka AND Mod - 623 results, none fit description immediately
AND Brocka AND Mod AND instructions - none..
AND BRocka AND Mod AND How to - None..

So, well, how the hell does one "properly" use the search function? I know there must have been a thread on how to use it before, but as you now know, I don't know how to use the search function to find a thread explaning how to use the search function..

Wow I feel stupid. If you're in a flaming mood, go for it.

Honestly I personnaly avoid the search function like the plague.... This really is the one thing I find most lacking from the PHPBB forums. That being said, I searched for:

"Broka Cut"

with the quotes, and with that spelling (yeah surnames can be difficult like that). Then, and this is important, I checked "Search for All Terms". This is similar to doing what you were trying: "Brocka" AND "MOD" AND etc...

Anyway I got 19 results and in the middle of the page:
"Brocka Laver Mod" (hehe I guess I got the spelling wrong) http://www.modified.in/footbag/viewtopi ... =broka+cut

So ... in conclusion: this takes luck. It's not Google, which, unfortunately, we've all gotten used to...

Best of luck

Just use google, and add "site:modified.in" to your query.
