Is there a Footbag Dictionary anywhere?
Is there a Footbag Dictionary anywhere?
I was just wondering, because there are still so many terms I don't understand. And if there isn't some one should seriously make one to help out all us hopeless and confused newbs.
I Hate Signatures and I refuse to have one.

No, I don't play soccer. Yes, there are competitions. 4 years. Lots of practice.

I think that we should sticky this so that newbs (like me) could have all their questions in one place, like my question:
What does Tiltless/Quiltless mean?

Slimer asked:
Guilts are any move less than 3 ADDs. Playing Guiltless thus means hitting strings of tricks without using anything worth less then 3 ADDs.
Tripless means not using any moves below 4 ADDs. A Tripless string is a series of tricks where every trick is worth 4 ADDs or more. The term "Tripless" refers to "Triple" (as in, like, a triple play in baseball, or a triple decker icecream cone... yum..., as in 3). Trip-less = no triples = no threes.
Fearless means all 5 ADD moves or higher. I'm not sure exactly where that name comes from.
Beastly is all 6 or above. A Beast Combo usually means three 6 ADD moves in a row, as in 6 > 6 > 6, or 666, as in the number of the beast, yadda yadda, thus a Beastly combo is 666, so hitting all 6 ADD or bigger moves is Beastly.
I think they call all 7 ADDs or higher Godly, and the name seems fairly appropriate, I guess, until people start hitting strings of tricks that are all 8 ADDs or higher. What are they gonna call that, huh? And will Godly really still seem Godly when someone outdoes it? I mean, if you can outdo Godly, than its not really so Godly. Anyway, maybe you can tell that I never really liked the name "Godly." It doesn't much matter. I can't play in that league anyway.
Not so many Godly combos get hit anyway, and when somebody hits three 7 ADD moves in a row its more commonly called a Jackpot, as in getting triple 7's in a slot-machine equals hitting the jackpot. Maybe we should call all 7's or better "Jackless" but that name doesn't really have much of a ring to it, I'd say. I don't know. Like I said, all that stuff is mostly irrelevant to me. I've only ever linked two fives together once or twice.
A 1 ADD or zero ADD move is considered a tilt. Playing tiltless means freestyling without using any moves below 2 ADDs in value. A tiltless player is someone who can freestyle without having to use toe stalls or basic kicks or other low scoring moves in the middle of their string of tricks. What does Tiltless/Quiltless mean?

I've always been a fan of 'apocalyptic' for theoretical 8+ links from the future. It has that 'OCK' sound that just screams 8, and it fits pretty well as a successor to Godly.

I don't know about that. Then there will be less people looking at these footbag websites then there already are. Plus people are posting direct links which also take away fom the number of visitors these websites should receive.crazylegs32 wrote:everyone should just post the reliable info to wikopedia.
