Stitching Template Idea

Post by aweiksnar »

Here is an Idea I came up with for a possible new template:

It is based off of the "Radioactive" pattern. However instead of making the actual Radioactive symbols on the bag 4 seperate panels, they would be one panel cut out in the shape of the symbol.

I am not sure if this would be beneficial or not, but I think it would be definitly worth giving a try.

If this explanation is unclear I can try and explain it better.

Let me know what you think or if it works out for anyone.

Quirky and rad. You would have to be careful with the stitchwork, as it can apparently mess up the bag with the cross-bleedhole stitching. It will look better on bags with low gather to show that it's part of the bag on some level, since the stitchwork for the 32 emphasizes on stitching around a pentagon. This is concerning whether you plan on doing 3 pents and one hex.

If it were up to me though, I think it would be easier if it were four hexagons turned into one large panel, than 3 pents and one hex. That way it would be simpler to stitch. You'll need to pay close and careful attention to the flange at the end of your pents.
