My First Video: January Shred

Hello all.
This is the first video I have ever editted for posting. I just used Windows Movie Maker and a 6 Megapixel camera for everything... so the quality isn't too great. It's got a bit from my friend Siarhei and I, not so much him though as he had to leave earlier, though we got a good 4 hours of shredding in. Anyways, let me know how everything is, mostly my shred though. ; ) So far I can say that a good number of my sets are too high and there isn't enough flipside in there. Enjoy!

Toe ducking rake and dyno looked to easy bro, you're really off to an awesome start. Ducking butters looked great too. Good job.

what i wasnt too crazy about was the footage of dropped tricks/attempts -
it was a bit much, but thatz jus me .

as for the shred, i think you have a good flow, and you already know, when to release the bag, that gives your game a good rhythm .

i will pay attention to your progress


edit : fyi, i called you "baggins" on purpose in some other thread.
you familiar with lord of the rings ? frodo calls himself underhill instead
of baggins, when he is asked his name in the prancing pony...

Looks like you are putting together some good links. You have a lot of moves mastered strong side and are linking all them well.

I don't mean to be harsh, but you REALLY need to work flipside. Everything was right toe and right clipper. Before you learn any new tricks, focus your time on working on your flipside. Get balanced. The next few sessions you have just really focus on flipside, it'll get there.

Shred: Thanks man. 8 ) Toe Ducking Rake might have looked easy for me but my 8 drops before-hand would prove otherwise. Thank you though. 8 )

Daryl: Yeah, I wasn't too fond of the drops mid video either but I wasn't able to edit those out from WMM. I actually did all of my scene cutting on the actual camera. Hopefully I'll find out how to do the in a little bit though. And yes, I saw LOTR. I just didn't make the connection when I first read it heh...

Ben: Don't worry bud. That's definitely not harsh, in fact I couldn't agree more. My flipside mirage is just now starting to catch up and my flipside clipper is definitely catching up too. I spend a lot of time trying to incorporate them into my strings as that seems to help more than just repeating the move from hand serves.


As my first video, I was pretty happy with it and so far it seems, so are you guys. Thanks for your thoughts! I'll be definitely busting my ass with my flipside.
