Thanks to everyone who has participated so far! We're about 1/4 done and I only posted this 12 hours ago. So far it doesn't look like anyone is cheating ;). Tell your friends to sing up too so I can end this contest and figure out my new colors :D.

Peace.

Rigged

Post by Genzu »

This contest is now officially rigged (though ever so slightly). We need about 35 more people to sign up for this and then I will randomly generate a number on my excel spreadsheet. The winner will be the person with the corresponding comment #. But don't worry about the rigging, it probably won't effect you. In fact you'd probably already know... well... I can't really say.

Peace.

I know, I checked it today to see if it had reached 100 and was kinda suprised it was at 71.
Also if 3 people can win doesn't that mean you have a 3 percent chance of winning instead of 1?

Per the original blog post:

Once the contest has 100 valid entries the winner will be chosen at random (All entrants have a 1% chance of winning).

I do say "the" winner, which means one. The winner wins 3 bags, in their favorite colors.

Tell your friends people!!! I have a theory that modified (e.g. advanced) players will pick more light colors than would your run of the mill hackers who would go for darker ones. So I'd like to get more non-modified people signing up to get a less biased poll.

Please, lets end this thing :D... Maybe I should enter....

RIGGED!

Post by Genzu »

All right, I'm tired of waiting here. Time to really rig this contest. This was a rather unfortunate (but good nonetheless) experiment to show just how many people go to my site outside of modified and .org... The answer: Hardly any (at least hardly any that actually read the blog).

So, in order to quickly end this competition, I am skewing the rules slightly to allow the last 11 slots to be DOUBLE entries (no triples, please) giving people here on modified an extra chance (2%) to win this contest. Please give me your 4th, 5th, and 6th favorite colors if you are lucky enough to get in for two entries. ALSO PLEASE USE A DIFFERENT NAME SO PEOPLE DON'T COMPLAIN ABOUT HOW UNFAIR THIS WAS (cause what they don't know won't hurt them, right?)

Good luck!

Peace.

I'm kind of surprised that 4 and 5 were as popular as they were... I tend to stay away from yellow. But then again, that's just me. :) Congrats Kyle!

Why did so many people vote for an all black Mr. Sandbag?

I knew before the contest started that 11, 15, and 21 would make the list, as they have always been top sellers.

As far as "rigging" goes, two people were randomly kicked out of the contest. Here is a copy of the email they received:

Dear Sir,

You have been randomly selected to be withdrawn from our
contest for no particular reason in particular by our department
of redundancy department. Sorry for any inconvenience
this may cause you, but you probably weren't going to win
anyway. If your number does come up, well, that will
be a 1%'er anyway, so don't sweat it.

Peace.

After the contest, since I wouldn't really kick anyone out, they got this:
Email Subject: "You guys are such losers..."

Man... What can I say... Sorry you guys lost the contest. Since I was
so mean to you and kicked you out, I'm giving you both coupons
for 10% off your next order at Freedom... Use the following coupon code:

(like I'm gonna post this ;) )

Simply enter the code above in the coupon section of your
order upon completing checkout.

THANK YOU FOR NOT PLAYING IN OUR CONTEST ;).

Peace.
So there you go, rigged all the way, but not really.

There is another contest coming soon that has to do with the FFFFLYER.
I will announce the details on my blog when it happens. You will need to have a hi-resolution copy of the flyer to play:
