I just got my climas. Buncha pictures and a quick vid.

Ok, well, I should mention that when these pictures were taken I had 30 minute old climacool 1's, and they are completely unmodded.

When I was looking to buy climas, I could never, ever find a good archive of pictures on the buggers. First thing I did was take pictures of them at every angle. I also took a picture or two vs the Rod Laver, which have the standard mods, except I did a little cutting on the sole where you clipper.

Also, I'd like to point out that the meshy sides are nearly-see through, as well as straight through the bottom of the shoe.

And in comparison to the Rod Laver.

This video is just to show that somehow, even though the shoes are 100% different, the transition for me was seemless. I clipper the same, and I pixie the same, two things I was really worried about. Keep in mind that neither of those are very good with Lavers anyway

For the moment, I don't have the same feelings as Tom Mosher (he'd rather put his face in bubbling acid than play with them unmodded, loosely quoted from his modding tutorial). I can easily clipper, and I have no problem toe stalling. So, whenever I start to feel creative, I'll probably bump this thread up and make a tutorial with a whole bunch of pictures, every step of the way. Maybe I'll even video parts. If anyone has questions that Tom/Holly's tutorials didn't answer, throw in some suggestions and when I do it I'll include your questions.

Hopefully this post is somewhat beneficial to someone.

David Clavens plays in unmodded Climas sometimes. Don't be so pressured about one person's reviews on a shoe. Things like this are always debated among players.

That's a really cool pair of Climas. Thanks for the angles! Very attentive.

How do they fit for you? I always find that there are a lot of players who can't find a pair of Clima 1s/Euros in their size.

I play in mine modded and I don't really even like them. I've played in modded pairs and they werent exactly lightyears better.

They are too beautiful to cut up.

Surprisingly, as I have never tested out a UK sized shoe in comparison to a US sized one, they fit perfectly. I really really like how they are tight against the sides of your feet, in comparison to the lavers which are really just tight around the toe and ankle.

They are also great, because any time your feet start to get hot you can do a rake or pendulum, and you get a really nice breeze

Wait, I take that back. All climas but angrizzle's red devils are lame, only because he shreds barefoot and they smell terrific.

I think a raw climacool 1 is the hottest shoe made to date.

The reason it's dumb not to mod them is because the surfaces get ten thousand times better. It's kinda a waste to spend all that money on fancy shred shoes only to half ass use them.

Yeah, you CAN do a clipper but it's like this super curved cup area which is not at all a consistent surface to set from. If you are god (cleaver) you can play in clogs, but if you are human then you should mod them.

The difference is that you will have more even surfaces which leads to more consistent sets.

It's up to you though.

Oh yeah, and I play barefoot in mine. I love it but they are DISGUSTING!

How is the inside of the clima's? Do they work just as well as lavers ? I never seen any and never tried any either so.

I like the look and the fact that there's not too many player playing with them and I was thinking buying a clima 1's pair for my next pair.

I went to alot of effort to make my climas look like your'se, jay. Mine still don't look nearly as tough though... I can't get them fully black. The barfy grey keeps shinning through. Nonetheless, I love my climas more than I love candy. Climas are amazing... I definately reccomend the mesh mod and the silicone mod. I shred for the first week with an unmodded clipper surface too and it was really sic. I was like "screw modding that surface! It rocks!!" and then I decided to try throwing just a bit of silicone in there, thinking that I could always just pick it out if I didn't like it (which I COULD do if I wanted to)... but, I love it even MORE! I did a brocka cut and I pulled the plastic fins off the inside surface too... I <3 modding!
