First Try, heck ya!

Post by Anexthesis »

Last night I was having a short shred and my mom walked in and I wanted to show her a move. Telling her to be patient 'cause I might not hit it for a minute I proceed to nail Blurry Whirl clean as hell first try. I love it when that happens. Do you feel that same when that happens to you?

Yes i know what you mean and i do love that feeling. It's the best when it's a trick that you have never even thought of trying befor. like you take 2 elements that you are good at and try to put them together for the first time and it works. For me that happend w/ fariy same DLO, it just came to me and than i hit it.

Congrats smokefree spinning clipper is a chill trick. My best first time ever happened with ps whirl. I'd never hit the trick and right after hitting ps mirage with a couple of my friends I said "yeah ps mirage is cool but I really want to hit this..." I then proceeded to hit it first try. Very satisfying. Still can't hit that darn move flipside though :/

Maelstrom is awesome, props!

I agree, I love the feeling of hitting a trick that you've never even thuoght of before. It happened to me with Tapping Osis, managed it bsos without ever having tried either side before.

It happened to me with my strong Fairy ss Dyno yesterday too. Sweet shit. I think hitting a trick on the first try is important because it means that you are ready to give it real attention without setting your sights too high.

Little offtopic but here it goes anyways...

I was training flip spinning blender in my garage and kept missing the stall. Got the dex but just couldn`t get the bag to hit my feet about 9 times out of 10 tries. Then I asked my big brother to come help me out and try to look how do I miss the stall like does it go close to the heel or toe.

Then first try: toe-butterfly-spinning blender-hand catch.
Ok, let`s try again: toe-butterfly-spinning blender-hand catch.

I`m like 8O , neved happened before.

Third try: toe-butterfly-spinning blender-hand catch.

Then I go like WTF and my brother says: Why did you ask me to come help you with a trick you can hit everytime?

As much as I don't like it i'm a phat move buff. I just love massive moves, and i find alot of my shredding time was/is dedicated to trying to hit leet tricks.

Yeah I totally agree. Hitting a leet move first go is just so awesome. I'm always really scared that I'll lose the audience's attention and getting it first go is just sooo satisfying.

Its quite case by case though - it depends on whether the viewer knows what it means to you or not.
