This might be a stupid question for some, but uh, I just want to know. Do you wash your lights with your darks, or do you wash them separate. Simple.

Cold water, lights and darks separated. But I have enough clothing that I always have enough to do two loads when I do laundry,

I do what Nathan said, I use cold water for both the wash and the rinse cycle. And low heat in the dryer.

i seperate towels from normal clothing... but i dont care about lights and darks together. i kind of like how colors can bleed together

i throw it all in, turn it on hot, and hope for the best. I've never had color bleeding problems, maybe because I NEVER buy new clothes, just used ones that already have all their colors washed out.

As of now, I just throw my clothes down the laundry chute, and hope my mom knows what she's doing.

However, when I was living on my own, I used cold water, separated the colors, because I always had enough to do three loads. White, colors, then towels.

Oh, and I check for pens/markers and shit like that. Don't have to separate military clothing btw, which is nice.

If your clothes are colour-fast(don't bleed), you can throw them all in together and they won't bleed. Cold water helps with not bleeding too. Just to be safe, I usually separate them into lights and darks, unless I'm in a hurry.
