Your Hardest Flipside Components

Post by Dat »

List the components you had the hardest time learning on your flipside. I'm most interested in the components that feel extremely awkward and/or scary. Try to keep the list short.

Me:

pixie
downtime illusion
swirl
drifter
symposium whirl

Flip Osis tricks were troublesome too.

Symp. Whirl
Nuclear; to a degree. When it works, it's just as good as strongside.

Mostly the things that are restricted due to injury, otherwise I try so hard to be bothsided that if something is just too hard, I won't even do it goodside, even if it is super easy on good.

Atomic
Eggbeater
Rev swirl
Pixie
(probably my WEAKEST thing...and my goodside is awesome, but I never do it because my flip is so bad)

I think pretty much everything else is almost actually bothsided, or close enough that it doesn't make too much difference. Well, I can't do "goodside" double downs anymore, but that's injury-related and I just don't do the flip, resultantly...

Swirls

I can hit sailing butterfly swirl with my weak sailing set, but struggle to hit normal swirl on the other side  I went through a stage where I drilled them heaps but I guess I lost interest. Like Erik, the fact that I can't do them on one side is why I very rarely hit them on the other side - especially in public.

Quantum.
Fairy.

I try really hard to get EVERYthing, the first day I learn it, both sides. I just learned quantum 2 weeks ago, and fairy is just something I try and do when I am bored. So, I am happy to report that everything else I can think of is both sided, comfortably.

No, I don't play soccer. Yes, there are competitions. 4 years. Lots of practice.

Pixies and swirls, which I would guess makes sense, because they are both variations of weak ATW. Flip furious is still too inconsistent for me to even claim as a flip component, but it gets a nod as well.

The ones that are giving me the most hell:

DLOs and eggbeaters
Atomic
Symp anything

There are 'nuff others, but Until I have them semi-dialled strongside, I guess they dont really count...

pixie and rev swirl. similar to jeremy, i cant hit ripwalk rev. swirl, sidewalk rev swirl, spinning rev swirl, but it takes me like 5 tries to hit reverse swirl flipside.

WHIRL
eggbeater/dlo's

Other than that, double dexes feels hard but I haven't worked them enough to say they are an hard flipside component, time will tell. I've footed it lately when giving them a try.
