Not too long ago, the PSP got a firmware update that allowed the processor to go faster. Why wasn't it this fast at launch? (Don't own one.)
Also, the PS3 has 3 models. The 2 with the smallest hard drives are being discontinued. Those two have an "Emotion Engine" that is basically PS2 hardware in it to allow its backwards compatibility. The biggest PS3 uses emulation to play old games.
Will new firmware updates work better with the PS3 they are still making and be sketchy with old ones? Or is it basically the same thing?
Correct me if I am wrong on any of this info. I like to be in the know about this stuff.
