widely traveled 2007

Post by footjam_heger »

Where have you been traveled to in 2007? Thanks to footbag, vacations without meeting any shredders does not count :D

This might turn out to be an interesting topic.

Cool thread idea!

This year has taken me lots of places!

Different parts of Canada and excitingly also to Berlin, Munich and even deeep in Bavaria.

Of course I shouldn't forget also going to world's in Florida, cornell in ithaca and also to many smaller jams.

Upcoming for me this year is NYJ in Chicago (also how this previous year started) and then hopefully YEAH 07 in Rochester, NY.

Also, just after new years I am supposed to be going to South Carolina with my family to a place called Hilton Head.

Whee! :D

Oh yeah, and then I am moving to Berlin.

In 2007 I've played footbag at my house, in Rochester, New York, and Budapest, Hungary.

I've also traveld to Pittsburgh, Ithaca, and Chicago for footbag. The best though is like in Budapest, when you're going some place already and you meet up with footbaggers. I've done that in Cleveland and Santa Cruz.

I have only been on two footbag trips this year, but considering the cost to ge tout of Iqaluit (~$1500 return), I feel I am quite lucky to have been to them.

Montreal: June 2007, Circle Contest 2
Winnipeg: Sept. 2007, Hackrifice 9

I almost made it to Edmonton for Shredmonton, but I was on stand by and the flight was full.

2008, should be interesting. I plan on going to CC3, Hacrifice, Shredmonton and Worlds.

I kicked all over Israel and with the Israeli Footbag Association in the Yehoshua Gardens, it was beautiful, bright and sunny!

Then I went to worlds

Alright, lets see if I can remember it all.

first, I went to Spike and Shred in Budd lake, NJ, MSJ2 (I think this was my favorite event, but they were all really great), East Coasts in Maryland, then Worlds, Funtastic summer classic in Harrisburg, PA, Ithica for Cornell jam, and finally Washington Square Park for NYFA fall freestyle symposium (this is where I always kick). I'm thinking about NYJ07, not sure yet.

I wonder who attended the most events in 2007?

When Chase was here I mentioned that it was so cool that he could jump in his car and just go somewhere, where as I'm quite the opposite, I hardly ever travel and when I do I need to have everything planned out. I've been disapointed too many times by leaving too many things to chance.

Anyways, this year I went to Wisconsin for a mustache party and Miami to visit Dan. In past years I've been to Iowa, Minnesota and West Virginia for footbag jams.

I'm trying to be more open minded and outgoing next year. If the local net players are driving out for the weekend for an event, I might just tag along... if they don't mind my company.

It Would be also nice to see how far you travel for your events.
