Opinions on the following ultrasuede light colors

Hey modifiers,

has anyone had any bad luck with the following colors?

Atlantis
Tulip
Opal
Guava
Purple Shadow
Spanish Gold
Eclipse
Lapis
Imperial Blue
Navajo Turquoise
Rapture Rose

Tulip is an uber thin and weak color. can be good or bad depending on how you look at it.

Spanish gold i've heard pills alot and thats why i never bought it or have touched it yet.

Navajo Turquoise gets to be like felt. if you wear out felt its gets really fuzzy and these little balls of fuzz develope on it, this happens to Navajo Turquoise maybe not as ig but its extremely noticable.

I've touched guava or eclipse.

otherwise the rest are great colors.

From the above, I only have Tulip, and I have to say, I like to use that colour.
It's thin and very soft, but I didn't had any problems with it.
I wouldn't say it's "weak".
I bought some of the other colours(spanish gold & rapture Rose), a few days ago, so I hope they're all good for sewing bags

I bought some white. too.
Is it a good colour? what does the "supple" mean? Is it thick or thin?

Atlantis is probably my favorite color in all ways that facile can be good

Atlantis -good, solid. It could break in really quickly.
Tulip -pilly, thin, weak
Opal - thin, but usable
Guava - I have never had a bag made from Guava. I assume it'll be like Colonial Red, or Dark Jade maybe.
Purple Shadow - Peter Bowler mentioned that he had some of this, and that it was really thick. I don't have much info on this
Spanish Gold - I like Spanish Gold a lot. It's functional and thick. I didn't have much problems with pilling.
Eclipse - pretty thin.
Lapis - see Atlantis. Similar thicknesses, may be thinner.
Imperial Blue - I don't have any info on this, but I assume that it's really thin.
Navajo Turquoise - solid fabric, never had a problem with it. A bit thin for a blue, but won't bust holes like Blue Hawaii.
Rapture Rose - solid, functional, thick.

I recomend using colors of the same thickness with each other like a blue hawaii hex/ tulip pent bag will turn out super choice but will die fast depending on the amount of care.

Spanish gold on the other hand just pills and is very thick at the same time.

Rapture rose is a bomb color.

Eclipse is a nice color. Thin but strong.

Lapis is what waylon said.

yeah, purple shadow is the only color i have on that list. yeah, its pretty thick (a little bit thicker than say atlantis. about as thick as midnight), but i decided recently that i really like how it breaks in. i've never had it pill on me at all. i dont like the color that much though. its a little too dark for my taste and looks a little "flat" unless you pair it with something nice.

Petit Pois
Country Cream
White
Brownstone
Jade
Green Mist

i like all the ones on your list except spanish gold. its too thick for my tastes.

navajo and rapture rose are also kind of thick, but i use them on occasion.

and i like tulip. everyone says its pilly, but i havent had a bag ive made pill... so it makes me think that people stitch it inside out. i really dont care if a bag is made with thin colors because its wonderful while it lasts and i can always make another one when its dead. and also you can patch holes easily... so no complaints here.

the only color of facile i hate hate hate is mayan... because its too dark and dull.

I really like both those brown colours and they have in the specials section. For $2 for 1/8 of a yard, they are pretty sick. Break in great and looks fab with country cream and classy with that tan colour I don't know the name of.

I don't know what's what though. I don't ever remember what I ordered by the time it arrives. I only remember country cream, flash red, and atlantis because I always order these colours since they are my favourite. Oh, and punch!

I think I have spanish gold. It's not thick like you people describe it though. A 12p Tom made with it pilled like crazy, but I've had success with it on 32's because of the reduced surface area.

I have this shitty black-ish colour.
The yellow in the specials section is super thick and I think it's not facile.

white is a pretty thick color is guess. I've had both white and country cream. country cream is much choicer imo

atlantis is thin imo. as a hex color, ive seen it get holes alot.
tulip isnt bad, but i dont use it unless someone asks for it
rapture rose is flimsy, and seems stretchy to me.

lapis is thicker than atlantis for sure.

purple shadow is like active green

navajo turqoise is a horrible color i bought and made one bag with it and never used it again. its starts to get all fuzzy and icky. i would not get it.
i have atlantis and i like it its thin and looks good. i also have impurial blue i used it in two bags and i like it. theres been nothing wrong with it so far. opal is a nice color to. i also like tulip. its really thin and squishy.

its not available anymore. it might become available during the spring, but the only way to get it until they release it, is getting it from a fellow stitcher

oh yea, i got spanish gold one time. Same thing happened to me as tom.

it pilled alot. And it was extremely hard to tell which side was which. i have never had problems with it with other colors, but i tried both sides and both pilled...one more then the other. maybe thats why its hard to tell which side is which?

Navajo Turquoise is a thin blue. Probably one of the thinnest in terms of ultrasuede light. It definitely is a good thin replacement for Splash Blue, imo. Blue Hawaii is of marginal thickness, but it's so supple that it can get fuzzy and holey pretty quickly. If I had a stronger Blue Hawaii, that would be keen.

Spanish Gold can get pilly, but it rarely busts holes. I've made 12 panels with Spanish Gold alone, and never had problems with it (especially when filled to 60 grams).

I totally want some Purple Shadow. Which reminds me; Holly, sorry, I really should get to work on ordering a lot of Amatista. I found a source (a cheap source!) here in NYC, but the material could have been laundered. $30 per yard is a sweet price, though.

I also bought a yard & a half of a cool yellow on November 11th around the fashion district of NYC. Just remembered. I showed it to Matt Cross. It looks like a sharper and bolder version of Tulip, which I think is called "Amber Gold." I think this was the same type of yellow that a lot of old school stitchers used to use when they still stitched. This color has also been seen in one panel on my first Dada Pengbag. I'll try to post up pictures next week in my For Sale page, in case anyone wants some in 1/8 increments.
