Either that, or the worlds leading biologists are predicting that 1 in 5 species of life will be extinct within this century, and storing seeds is one way of helping to predict biodiversity. Did you know that bananas are seriously threatened? And did you know that the reason why they're so threatened is because there are only 4 species left in the world (from hundreds). Completely practical reasons why this is a crucial project for humanity.

Let me just add that the part at the bottom about vaccines isn't just dishonest, it's morally repulsive and disgusting. Ignorance and lies like that are directly responsible for thousands of preventable deaths around the world. If 30% of a population are not vaccinated, everybody in the population are at risk, those who choose to take the vaccine and those who choose not to. Children are dying in Africa right now of the measles, because of lies spread about the dangers of vaccination. People who spread these lies, such as the writer of this article are responsible for those deaths.

Proof vaccines work;
In 1998 a study of 12 children was published in the Lancet claiming that there was a link between the MMR vaccine and autism. Further studies have shown that there is absolutely no link, and the authors of that study are facing charges of serious professional misconduct.
As a result of that study, immunisation rates fell by 31% in the UK. Following the drop in immunisation rates, measles increased in occurrence by 1300% and mumps increased by 3700%. The rate of immunisation fell below the rate needed to avoid an epidemic, and both people immunised and those not immunised were effected. In 2006 the UK had its first measles death in 14 years. Other children have been permanently damaged and require kidney transplants. After the 1998 paper was published a number of other countries have seen falling immunisation rates, and epidemics of measles and mumps as well. 3 children died in Holland and 3 children died in Ireland during these epidemics.

I'm sorry, but I don't really see any 'global conspiracy' here. The author is sounding the alarm over a bizarre consolidation of powers that have the potential of dramatically affecting every one of us through the power they exert over our food supplies.
A global seed bank? Yeah, sounds like a good idea. Monsanto, Syngenta, DuPont, the makers of terminator seeds, Roundup ready crops, super wheat, being involved? You don't have a problem with that? These are entities that sell seed stocks, the herbicides that these crops are resistant to, and the fertilizers you need to grow them. It's called agribusiness and it's lucrative. They don't make money from farmers planting and harvesting endemic crops, they make money by convincing them that they have to invest in superior seed stock to increase production and selling them everything they need to do so. Furthermore, it appears that NAFTA, WTO, and other instruments like the Rockefeller Foundation green initiatives have been very useful vehicles for promoting the spread of GM crops worldwide. I'm not even anti-GMO, I just find it abhorrent that a potential weapon to fight hunger is being co-opted as a business tool.

You find me an independent scientific source that verifies this claim, or I am going to continue with my view that it's an article written by crazy people who think the world is out to get them. It's an underhand attempt at discrediting vaccinations and international bodies, and scaring people into being afraid about what is in vaccinations. It's dishonest and false.
Regarding the rest of the article. The claim in the article is that this group of people is building a seedbank because they're afraid or preparing for GMO warfare, or some kind of GMO related event that destroys much of the crops and seeds around the world. The article totally dismisses the rather more plausible and official reason for the building of the seedbank, which is that the rate of extinction amongst plants is currently 1 species going extinct every day, and most scientists predict that that rate is going to increase this century.
By completing ignoring this possibility, and instead attempting to use a fear of GMOs and hypothetical threats with no real evidence to support them, it loses all credibility as an insightful paper and presents itself as paranoid delusional conspiracy theory.

Yeah that's hilarious. Probably one of the best conspiracy theories around; There aren't aliens flying around trying to probe us, it's actually a conspiracy created by the media/government using holograms to make us think that there are aliens flying around trying to probe us. Perhaps the next "War on something you can't fight a war against" will be a war on aliens? I think that's already happening in New Mexico though isn't it?
